thats 1 smart bird to actualy hold the spoon while eating from it lol, i had a yellow collared mini macaw & he'd eat from a spoon if i held it, never thought of trying to get him to hold it, realy good
haha it probably would be! I would LIKE to assume I'm a breeder ;) I just own a couple tiels, a lorikeet and a budgie :) My lorikeets the clown. She holds two balls in her claws, rolls on her back and rotates them between her feet and beak. I'd love a big parrot... maybe one day.
WOW! Wouldn't it be cheaper to fly to the US, buy one & fly home?? Assuming your breeder can get all the exportation crap with the USDA and Australian Department of Agriculture in order before he crosses the border & all..
I looked into flying a macaw into Oz, but you have to go through customs&quarentine nd hav the bird isolated 4 so many weeks & get approval from all these places&and in the end, it jus wouldn't be worth it because of the all the extra costs and the risk of the bird dying.. I've been looking at buying a macaw, this is the prices i've been given so far..

What a cutie. You are so lucky! They go for $70,000 here in Australia and there's a year long waiting list. I can only dream :(
