Although I never let my remote even rest on Faux News, I must admit I love seeing Shep Smith on the Day in 100 Seconds. I still remember him fondly from the Katrina days. He was one of the best reporters covering that debacle. Too bad he's over there at Fauks.
And here's to 4 more years of buffoons like Joe the Plumber and John Bolton. Yahoo! Conservatives will never find their way out of the wilderness with leaders like those two idiots. LOL.
Ugh, they better not shaft him again. Whatever, if they do then they will wither - if they somehow FINALLY decide to prop him up though... maybe they'll have something to go with.
Bush used to hide the cost of the war by not including it the budget and President Obama said he was done "tricking" the American people with budget gimmicks so everyone is tripping but really all President Obama did was take the scales away from everyone's eyes. The Forever War will probably deplete the coffers of the nation. I hope the US isn't toppled like the USSR on Obama's watch though. :/
Is that a real quote from FF9? That was a really well written installment. I was skeptical myself but it turned out being very underrated when all was said and done.
after 8 years of Bush it really is wonderful listening to the rabid conservative howls, cursing everything Obama does, and watching the GOP lie shamelessly and writhe helplessly in the mud - the United States needs to see them shamed and humiliated for abandoning their principles - wear that sackcloth! - but they'll be back - great political theater in the meantime -
Anytime a Rethuglican whines about too much money being spent on the American people, our schools, our healthcare, etc. journalists should turn the discussion around and MERCILESSLY hound them about how THEY bankrupted the country with their wars and 'Defense' spending and tax cuts for corporations who lay off American workers.
Republicans have NO ground to stand on. They have NO credibility at all. They deserve endless ridicule, never respect. Every single one of them should go to hell.
yea a lot of the money is the money that bush was hiding from us to put on his war. Well you liked the war, Obama is just now telling you now much it really cost.

Put the kool-aid down and critically think.
and this whole republican-democratic polarization is an illusion. its a fantasy. they are both FOR large government. Neither are conservative.

What the fuck did they think the budget would look like after 7 years of war?
SquallCloud 2 years ago
SquallCloud, An even larger budget would mean paying for more things. Are you suggesting we continue paying for the war?
Bush's largest budget was, what, $3.2 trillion?

Bring back the 90% marginal tax rate. The American economy grew pretty well throughout the 1950s when we had a 90% marginal tax rate.
Tax all income over $400k at 90%.
Richardgwm 2 years ago
what you're saying is true. but it's politically lethal. it would mean a safer, more reliable, but slower-growing economy.
