Ed Bradley you will NEVER be forgotten! What a great role model for black men, hence for all men, women, children, etc. What a great journalist. A man who was genuine in his concern for mankind. While we mourn, we are also blessed by the contributions h made to our society.
How sad to hear that Ed has pased away. Though I only knew him from the programs made on 60 Minutes, he seem to have been a very nice and caring person. He had indeed integrity.
May he rest in peace.
Condolences here from the Danish- German border region to all the people who knew Ed personally.
Few reporters have true class most, are shallow yes-men for golabalist propaganda. But, not Ed Bradley. I was with CBS-TV and there is alot of good and well meaning people in the media who do care about our nation and the planet and Mr. Bradley was one of them. A very rare and wonderful person. God be with you Sir.
Rest in Peace Ed, your generation of African American is leaving us, you all were so strong and decent. I hope the legacy of your struggles, your sacrifices and your dreams lives on forever in heaven and earth
Ed Bradley: an exceptional journalist and a heroic individual...unless you were a contemporary, you may have difficulty understanding how extraordinary it was for a non-conforming black man could become such an icon of mainstream news....never underestimate those individuals who come before us, believe, it was NOT a walk in the park...there is no WOW: it was incredible self-control, integrity and POWERFUL individual courage....
Thank you Mr. Bradley for your service to your fellow man. You will always be in our memories. I always had the out most respect for your journalistic integrity. I offer my deepest condolences to your family. Job well done my man! Sixty minutes has lost an excellent journalist that will never be replaced. Gods speed on the rest of your journey.
From Canada . I loved watching Ed Bradley . CBS will miss there good friend. Ed,s co-workers did a great tribute on Larry King .My sincere condolence to Ed's family and to you all at CBS. God Bless Ed , May He Rest in Peace . DianeMarie ( Cape Breton Island , Canada.
Ed Bradley was a brilliant and sensitive member of the 60 minutes team. He had a stylish New York City liberal edge which I could identify with. He will be missed. Who's the babe in the background?
Ed Bradley will be missed, but his legacy will continue. It is a big loss to CBS, the news anchors of the world, and to us. We must continue his work, and celebrate his accomplishments. Rest in Peace!!
Regardless of politics, the loss of Ed Bradley is a loss to all of journalism. In an ever less civil atmosphere, he always brought civility to his work.. From Vietnam to Iraq, and in between, Ed brought honor to his profession....He will be greatly missed.
Word has it that no one new he had cancer, not even his colleagues. When my father told me about Ed Bradley passing, it was a shock and still seems surreal. With public figures like Bradley, it always seems like you know them personally.
As a freelance CBS editor I worked with Ed Bradley once in El Salvador in the 80s. I can only say he seemed nice enough; but his producer was the whiz kid -- she really had the grasp of the story. Not to disparage him, mind you.
What a sad day indeed. A Legend in journalism has passed. It is hard to find words, I see. I am digging for some of Ed-s writings from the 70s and will watch the news tonight.
