i was out fly fishing yesterday and got a hook in my lower arm i did not know how to get it out so went to the doctor he put the hook back out cut off the barb and it came out easy but i needed a drink lol

With a treble hook you should cut off the other hooks to prevent them getting stuck anywhere else during the process. It's rare you'll get 2 of the 3, if you do then you need a trip to the doctor. What wasn't pushed enough in this vid is you MUST push down hard on the shaft and do this for the person, in case they flinch and let go. If you don't hold the shaft down hard it will rise up when you pull, digging the hook in even deeper! I know, I had to do this for my father in law last week...

@Capnwabbit i got hit in the back by my friend who was casting and got 2 of the 3 hooks in me. took a trip to the doctor to get em out.

I got a Rapala dt stuck in my thumb touching the bone ... it was my first time getting i never knew about this lil trick so i went to the hospital they gave me a shot and numbed my thumb he got some floss and just popped it out haha

Nicely done. What do you do when it's a treble hook and more than one barb though..? You need 2 friends and good timing I guess. Your manly refusal to show pain is appreciated - betcha cried like a baby when the camera was off ;)
