I'm haven't been a church-goer in a while, but reflecting on things like "turn the other cheek" and the Golden Rule has made me a better person and kept me out of trouble. @FilmFan197 Religion and religion alone is one of the biggest problems with society today and if it were not for it humans would be a much more advanced race. Instead religion has brainwashed people to the point where they are completely incapable of critical thinking.
People THINK they want the truth.. but really they don't. Most are much too scared - you can lay the truth out clearly and explain it to these religious people but they are blinded by fear and won't see any of it.

I'm haven't been a church-goer in a while, but reflecting on things like "turn the other cheek" and the Golden Rule has made me a better person and kept me out of trouble. BTW, looking at my comment, I didn't mean to insinuate that atheists are all bad people. I have a good friend who is an atheist and he's a great guy. I just think this idea that religion is the root of all evil is b.s.
