Yeah, was a walking contradiction. He needed to be a whole other character that was tough and a rebel who wouldn't change cause he liked himself-but besides the times we saw him call the house after being kicked out-they, the other castmembers said he called one day crying to come back into the house ! If the arguments are going his way, in his favor, Puck would have NEVER left. After Pedro came back, eating humble pie, Puck knew he was through. He would have never done what Pedro did.

I can't agree more with the comments. The Real World is nothing like it used to be- its just about image, fashion and sex with tarts. The season with Puck, Pedro, Pam, etc. was RAW and incredibly powerful. Here was a group of 7 people dealing with AIDS, repression, racism and people with different ideologies. Puck is an asshole, but he never calls Pedro out of his name- he's just more laid back and crude, and Pedro was a serious weeper (I've met types like him before). The best season by far.

@fusock i remember well the first few "real worlds" - NYC, LA, SF, then London. they were fun, and inspiring because it the undercurrent in each was the residents' struggle as 20-somethings to find their place in the world. now, its all about the struggle to find a piece of ass. its unbelieveable, this contrast - it really is! i agree with you and others on Pedro and Puck. i did not like either. kevin from season I was a pain the ass, too.

San Francisco was my absolute favorite Real World, when the show was actually "real".

I agree with previous comments that the show has kind of outlived it's time. Now it just looks like a non-stop, drunken frat house party. The show has kind of become a sad caricature of itself.

I lived in an apartment building at the bottom of Lombard Street half a block down from their house. One day, Puck was standing in front of our parking garage with a big crowd around him, trying to convince everybody how great he was. He was the biggest, most self-deluded asshole I've ever heard talk in my life. That was twenty years ago, and hopefully somebody has put him out of his misery by now.

I think Puck (has) had abandonment issues. He must have had someone (maybe his dad) who left him early in life, so he self-actualized and was very comfortable, with being rejected and having one more person(s) abandoning him. He forced this because it is probably all he knows.

I used to watch these shows. I got so sick of all the fighting, and the monotony of watching 7 people in a house. SF, was the last one that I saw, and the best thing that came out of that show was Pedro. He actually had a purpose, and that was to educate people about AIDS/HIV. Pedro was a welcome change to these shows, he was a reminder that there were bigger things to deal with in life. Most of these "real worlders" always bring superficial bs to the shows.

OMG!!! I remember watching this when I was in High School. This was when the real world was really good and had real adults that dealt with real issues. If it is even on now, I do not watch it and have not in years, the real world has not dealt with anything but petty stupid things with shallow people. Pan and Judd were my absolute favorite!!!! Now they are married and have kids I think!!! I absolutely loved this season and yes I cried when Pedro died and MTV aired a memorial service.

What a rush of good memories by watching this clip!... I remember this, it was part of my life wen I was about 15, MTV was starting to become the crap that it is now!, but I was able to catch some of those amazing MTV times with music videos all day and "Headbangers Ball" until 1995..now we just have gun-toting Hip gangster wannabes as music, good Hard Rock is on the brink of extinction, and shows are created to promote shit, and for you to see how insecure some rich fuckers are living.

I just saw The Movie about Pedro Zamora..I remember watching this show when I was 21 and how it impacted me..It makes me a litle sad to see the most important/amazing character on that season is no longer with us. Puck was suck a lowlife and treated others with no respect..he must have been totally abused as a child....RIP Pedro!
