the cap at the end on the inside of the pipe has a pin sticking up

when you drop in and 40mm airsoft shower shell the pin hits the trigger at the bottom of the shell and fires the gas

@Covertmaddroxx1 Easiest way is to use the same mechanism on the front as the back. The back has primer and propellant. Front has pin, primer, and "load". Then you just have to be sure to design it in a way that the tip of the front hits first.

we've yet to test fire it on anyone, but we wouldn't load the howler rocket if we ever fired it in the air, we'd just load it with bb's

it was simple to make. The cap at the bottom of the pipe has a pin that sticks up, we use another short, small pipe that holds the shell and howler rocket. Then you simply drop in the pipe holding the shell and projectile and it fires.

To remove the shell we just tip it over and load another =)
