If you watch this with Lady Gaga's "Starstruck", with its very upbeat, cheerful refrain, "baby 'cause you blow my heart up" then you will feel differently about this, and see that it is faked footage. The wavy line special effects were used again in the movie "The Matrix"

@aardvark9100 Because without the ominous music, there is nothing there. And "The Matrix" used the wavy line image, but it was much improved. By the way, other atomic explosions do NOT show a wavy line image. They are all very different. This image here is VERY crude. It hardly proves anything. And the witnesses should have been wearing ear protection, like anyone firing a gun at the range. Even with black powder, a small canon will produce a deafening sound.

This was not Ivy Mike. Ivy Mike was not even a "bomb" in the traditional sense - the device was the size of a building. I agree with ShaneKorte - this is Ivy King, which took place 2 weeks after Ivy Mike and was the largest fission-only test carried out by the US (or at least, the largest fission test that the US admits to).

Yeah, they do leave a small pause in the video. I read that at the Trinity test it took the sound something like 4 minutes to reach them, long after the initial double flash had gone and there was just a mushroom cloud.
