I originally really enjoyed the Eragon movie. An enjoyable watch. After reading the book I didn't understand how they managed to make such a monstrosity. @thetristan8 I had the same experience! I watched the movie and liked it, and then I read the book and was sooo disappointed with the way the handled the film. I know that sometimes it's necessary to make changes to make a film based on a book, but the changes they made to film Eragon were so far from the original story, it is ridiculous. The ending especially. Why change that at all? What is wrong with them??!
@1lookingeast1 I do actually think the ending of the film is better.. durza puts up a better fight. In the book he is taken by surprise and BAM dead... I still like the movie, the song and the cast. The film is perhaps not as the book but that's normal, it must be hard to change 700 pages in 1 hour and a half of film. I think they shot the film in a good way and that summarize up the story.

The graphics for Saphira in the movie were simply splendid. If only Brom had given Eragon his ring, and the Ra'zaac hadn't been killed, and so on. I don't think the filmwriter actually read the book himself, or he didn't read it all the way through or carefully enough.
i think they a pretty good job casting this movie (except arya) but the movie itself was all wrong. it's not possible to make a second movie without completely redoing the first one.
Peter Jackson or James Cameron should remake the first one, and then, make the other 3. They would make it right, they would make it great, thumbs up if you agree

The movie was ok, but they messed up a few key details. Ra'zac dont die until way later, Brom was killed by Ra'zac, not Durza, Arya not awake until she reaches the Varden, etc. Saphira was also supposed to breathe blue fire, and the giant dwarf gem was not even shown. And where was Solembum?

I was fortunate to have seen the movie before reading the book, the movie fails in many ways to do justice to the book. The movie itself is entertaining though.
The same I would say for the music. Patrick Doyle's instrumental pieces work rather well for a movie of this caliber. Unfortunately this song gets it wrong in my opinion. It's 'soft', 'sweet' and 'without any edge' whatsoever, which becomes a problem when put together with the instrumental score by Doyle...

@jhpcrap sadly it was rated the worst, but if they actually stuck to the book who knows it might've been the best rated film.

What they should do is make a whole new movie, new actors, acctually make arya look like an elf, and acctually follow the book! haha that would be a good movie! Expecially if they would make a second one! :D

i love the song but the movie was a dissapointment. the only thing they got right in it was the names and of course the dragon. they arent even going to make a second one cause its so different from the original book. but hey i love the song! awesome job

I was fortunate to have seen the movie before reading the book, the movie fails in many ways to do justice to the book. The movie itself is entertaining though.
The same I would say for the music. Patrick Doyle's instrumental pieces work rather well for a movie of this caliber. Unfortunately this song gets it wrong in my opinion. It's 'soft', 'sweet' and 'without any edge' whatsoever, which becomes a problem when put together with the instrumental score by Doyle...
It's entertaining, but off..

yes me to.. even tought the movie wasnt that good comparated to the books.. id still love to see the others as a movie to. ill read the brisingr and eldest as i am able to... brisingr is going to be released 20th day.. or should be.
