Nice Vid, and good to see a young guy with an interest in hip hop culture.

A few corrections though.

What you are calling amps are actually called speakers. The big ones are woofers and they are eight inches or 20 cm. The smaller ones are called tweeters.

Radio Raheem did not have a Lasonic. It was a Super Jumbo J1 By Techsonic or Prosonic, cant remember which right off the top of my head.

I like the Graff piece on your wall did you do it???

ANYBODY here who has this radio,can you tell me if the quailty is good or crappy because i know things like these look cool and everything but usually they suck big time.i want to go for quality not looks.any radio can go loud but bass is important to me so post back pls

@Raffy85100 don"t waste ur time or money man, i have one and it"s by far the worst sounding radio i ever owned, the tweeters sound muffled.....which i hate not enough treble there and the so-called woofers, which we all know are just full range drivers don"t even put out any bass worth mentioning, i"ve found if you hook anything with a bass boost button.....say like a cd player or an ipod, the thing tends to distort quite a bit, sounds underpowered to me

ghettoblasters weren't made for loud ass bass. they were made for crazy loud mids and highs. new boom boxes might have better bass but they look like shit. music in the 80's wasn't about low bass, it was about the 808 snare hit. i love they brought the vintage shit back, the way it sounds and all.

great video on this Lasonic boombox i own the one with the iphne / itouch and may say it does feel like an old skool box i always say thanks to the Lasonic group for bringing this back and i sure hope it has a real tuner i also want to comment on the interest you put on this cause it was a thing of the 70's till early 90's and you your age is for the new age electronics so thumbs up on that alone... they have so many boomboxes up for grabs here on youtube and on ebay. Those things you're referring to as "Amps" are actually "Speakers". The lower larger ones are woofers, the smaller ones are tweeters. An Amp is an internal component that amplifies the audio signal to drive the speakers.

@RUDYxCSAx17 i had the original TRC931 i bought back in '88 and there is not much difference in sound quality than this i931 version which i presently own. i also bought the Conion c100f new in '84, the radio got very loud but does not come close to the hard hitting bass technology of todays boomboxes. i bought the first version JVC Kaboom back in '98 with CD and cassette and still have it,best boombox with hardest hitting Bass ever. The new Sony Xplod boombox is a nice radio too.

i have this same boombox , it gets loud but has no bass. i also purchased the new Sony Xplod boombox with the powered sub woofer and it blows this cheap lasonic box away by a long shot. it gets very loud with a killer bass thats second only to my JVC rv-b90 kaboom which is king of boomboxes.

Those old boomboxes are pure Shit compared to todays technology with more power and sub woofers with killer bass. a Conion and Lasonic sounds like a cheap transistor radio compared to todays boomboxes. My JVC rv-b90 kaboom rattles my doors and windows and blows away those 80s boomboxes by a long shot.

@BboyPimPxD yeah i used it in like the streets an i be bumpin some big L but if u like put the volume all the way it doesnt sound good and but like the buttons under the mic vol and the ecko vol there are button to control how hard the base bumps but yeah but it is an attention grabber and the newer model is at frys.com for 150 and i think they made the sound better but this one isn't bad

That is a AM/FM Receiver at the top and with an antenna. If you have tried to switch it to the radio and it's not working than you need to return it.

I just read the specs on it and Yes it does have AM/FM Radio included.
