  • This is so incredibly beautiful. Like Tilson Thomas' 70s recordings of the Gershwin overtures. Gems in themselves. Porter, Gershwin and Berlin were the absolute grand masters of melody. No one has ever surpassed them afterwards.

  • Is it just me or does the opening fanfare sound a lot like the Victory at Sea theme?

  • Thanks for posting this. I just saw the Broadway revival of "Anything Goes" starring Sutton Foster and Joel Grey (official opening: April 7, 2011). While they revised the overture for this revival, the songs are the same standards we know and love. My prediction is that this show is going to be a big hit. It's the first revival of the Cole Porter classic in over two decades and the Act I finale is amazing. "Anything Goes" is my second favorite Porter show. "Kiss Me, Kate" is 'the tops' with me.

  • I love this show!!!
