Impacts are all skill, no luck involved. If someone is being predictible, don't just stop at guarding it easily, time the guard impact and you get a free grab or combo.

It used to be about skill in SC1 and SC2. Now its just gone to shit. Its nearly impossible to guard impact online because of all the lag.. sickening. Any lag = no intentional impact.

yeah that's true.. but you can still pull it off if you KNOW that everytime your attack gets blocked they mash a quick YY (triangletriangle. If you're having problems with lag, stop playing with people with a green number 3 or less.

I must disagree. Its great & all, but the movement is slower. You can't dodge in & out as fluidly. You can dodge the first two moves of a combo but for some reason the third hit will track you. Thats real disappointing. Personally I don't think the charachters are that well balanced. Well at least mitsurugi isnt. Its ridiculous, his moves are easy, he has a long reach & he's as fast as anyone in the game. All the button bashers use Mitsurugi, there's no need for skill with him. STILL GREAT GAME.

Yh also there are people who use Algol and spam that ball throwing atack it's really a pain to get near him when people do that, it requires a lot of patiente fighting button mashers but when you win you can say: Oh yh I'm so good! XD

Agreed, though I've changed my mind slightly about the Guard Impacts. Can be done (after watching Beyonder, Fatal F, DCNeon, Terror and a few others) but it doesn't give you the same advantage as it used to in SC1 or 2.

The better you get at the game the more the characters respective power evens out. In the beginning you are better off with Mitsurugi, Kilik, or the like. But there is a big difference between a pro kilik and a beginner kilik. I personally think it's nice that they made some characters easy to be decent with. For those that don't go hard core.

Hmm, can't agree. I mean I've been playing since Soul Blade (not saying I'm great, just experienced) and a competent say Ivy player would destroy an equally skilled Taki/Yun etc.

I see characters like Ivy, Astaroth et al that have vicious stuns, long reach, speed and power and that just skews the match-ups.

i tried master impact and auto impact A... they both get counted as guard impacts... i cant figure out how to do the just impacts... in case anyone didnt know, if you goto history, and battle records... highlight the achievements you haven't gotten and it shows you how close you are to it... for instance, under soul crushes it will say 78 for example

What Im doing for this is doing it with a friend in special vs. And I have a character with master impact. and another with auto impact A. The just impact one only should takke about 20 mins. and we havent done the guard impacts yet but I hope this helps

1. go in to a non ranked player match

2. invite a friend

3. get any achievement ( well some of em )

*try getting just impact doing it this way*

the best way to do impacts quickly is, hit someone who is blocking then press forward and A.

The AI pretty much always attacks after they have guarded your attack.

That way you can repeat it and they are more likely to be just impacts.

This achievement is easier to get if you max out your characters impact stat, then take Master Impact (makes all impacts except auto impacts into just impacts) and for the 200 impacts achievement take auto impact A

I tried getting it with the impact guard attacks, you know where your weapon turns purple. I tried it with Siegfried where he crouches and blocks. But this worked better. I got the 200 Impacts too using my method. But yeah it is completely luck haha.

Little known fact: Host a game in a non ranked match, make it two players, have one private slot, invite a friend in, get any acheivement you need.

critical finish is easy. the best way to do it legit is to go to tower of lost souls 21-23 floor and pick yun-seong and keep preesing forward and y until their guard breaks
