@Xxrockerchic229xX Well, I used some rough notes I made from the soundtrack as an 'aide memoire', but it took me about two hours to decide what to play and practise it.
This music should have been in the opening credits of the film, however, it wasn't. f**k Disney! Tim Burton, nor Danny Elfman were allowed to have an opening score, nor scene.
@mmmcr00 I would love to be able to help but I never wrote down what I played and would not be able to repeat this performance. I believe that you can now buy a book with the songs and themes from the film arranged for piano.
@Piano86Men Thank you. As I mentioned in my reply to mmmcr00, I never wrote down what I played, which I did by ear, using the sountrack recording. If I were to write it down, I'm sure I would never get any copyright-holder's permission to do anything with it!
that was so great!! I noticed you used the far left peddle. What exactly is it for? I've always wondered that, all it seems to do is move the keys and dull the sound a bit.
@mynameisFirefly Thank you. That is exactly what the left pedal does. It moves the keys along so the hammers hit two strings instead of three. I try to avoid using it too much, but my piano is quite bright, so it is useful for sudden pianissimo passages.
@thescream22 Alas I can't do that, as I have forgotten what I played and don't have the facilities to make tutorials. However, I believe there is now a published piano/vocal book with the music from the movie that you can buy, and I hope that will be helpful. Otherwise, try playing it 'by ear' from the soundtrack, which is what I did.
@Mgrulz818 Thanks very much. I have no complaints about the thumbs down, as musical tastes vary so much. I dislike most 'urban' pop music and if I were to watch a video of it I might do the same!
Are you willing to share sheets? I liked your version of it. I tried to do it myself but Im not much for arranging and I dont have very much time these days.
@SteveSasuke Thanks for your comment. I never wrote my version out, and only used a scribbled transcription of the tune to work from. I believe that there is now a book available to buy of music from the movie, although I have not seen it myself.
I hated the cartoon version when I was little, I tried to read the book once but never finnished it, & most of my friends agreed with me whenI told them that I thought this years movie was... odd to say the least. But I think this video has changed some of my opinions about Alice in Wonderland.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!! I've been looking for ages for this music! But I've been playing piano for only about 7 years now, so I'm not the best, so this will be quite a challenge! i challenge you to make a tutorial. i think if youve played it once by ear, then you can play it again. and as you go thru, just like make notes, break it into sections and stuff. i learned songs like bella's lullaby and parts of a river flows thru you and i could make tutorials of them. i know this is a song of higher calibur, but i challenge you, i think you can do it if you try

some wrong chords and it is not lively enough.
whauk 11 months ago
@whauk Well, it was carefully checked with the soundtrack, and I don't think it is far off.
PSearPianist 11 months ago
@PSearPianist
for example 0:48 should be Dmaj (while you play d and b with right)
and 0:55 should be Cmaj with left (i think you played an Amin but i am not sure)
and 1:27 should be Cmaj Dmaj7 and Fmaj (you play one of them wrong not sure which one)
and 1:45 is just played really boring... there should be a staccato and forte (maybe octavas in the right)
oh to say something positive: i like your left hand (how you split up the chords) and 1:57 is perfect.
whauk 11 months ago
@whauk Well, I did the best I could at the time - as I said to another commentator, maybe I inadvertently used a little artistic license!
