@darkstalkerssupport Nothing to do with licensing, as the Darkstalkers cartoon uses Trouble Man for it's ending. I think it was just a matter of timing, and Capcom generally fucking up most games they released at the time. See Mega Man 8's horrific dubbing for more.
I remember how the Japanese version had both intros and the US got stuck with just the one. The frame rate shown in the intro doesn't do the game justice, it's a lot smoother than people think, WAY WAY WAAAAAY better than Darkstalkers 3, that game made me regret buying it even if it had more characters.
I may be a little late on this, but "technically" this intro is on the American version. It's just unused. I had some program a while back that allowed you to view certain files on the game. This video is on the disc but it's unaltered. I forget the name of the program that I used though. Apparently you can also view it if you have a PS1 Pro Action Replay as well.
If you have a certain computer program that lets you view movies, music and pictures from PS1 discs, you can find this on the American game, as well as the normal intro.
