  • My dad was a Chevy dealer in the 60's/70's. Had many Corvairs.Took 'em to the dragstrip, popped off the fan belt, and smoked many a unsuspecting V-8 !! Thanks for the memories.

  • Was the Spyder available as a sedan, or just as a coupe?

  • @Commando303X They made them in a coupe and convertible.

  • fuk yeah, great car. sounds like a 350. thats whut mine came with stok. CHEVIE PWNS!

  • I think it is susipous that is not a Spyder because the turbo charged emblem on the rear deck lid is not in the correct location, the voltage regulator should be at a slight angle in 63 and there should be a boss on the spare tire holder that lifted the tire slightly to clear the heat shield. Other than that a pretty cool car.

  • thats beautiful, not the most powerful but real good looking... i bet it could beat any '63 porsche, in straight line and handling. basically its the same configuration.

  • @machone7I At the time these were considered the poor mans Porsche.

  • Just because the turbo is missing does not mean its not a Spyder. It has the correct dash, correct emblems on dash and fenders.. A lot of people also assume Corsa always means Turbo, not true. Spyder always means Turbocharged 62-64 models.Corsa was available with Turbo or 140 in 65 +66. Corsa then discontinued and 140 was availible as option on Monza. Most people ended up blocking xtra 2 carbs (on 140)off because they were too hard to sync, I still love these things! Good Video KC!

  • I recall a friend telling me of the problems getting two carbs on an mg in syn.

  • thats not a spyder

  • Why don't you think its a spyder? it has won many car shows for being a spyder it has all the emblems for a spyder and hey it even says spyder on the title. it does not have a turbo because someone took it of a long time ago because it had problems. I guess you could call it a turboless spyder. but not having a turbo does not make it not a spyder.

  • how does your corvair handle the cold weather ?

  • With the air cooled engine the colder it is the better she runs. I started her up when it was -20 just to see and she only cranked for 5 seconds. Me and my dad wish that minnesota would not use salt on the roads, then we could drive our corvairs during the winter.

  • Your right, With out the turbo it's not a true spyder

  • cool!

  • Nice lookin corvair there. Cool idle too nice and lopey.

  • @LeviMan2001

I think its running on five cylinders.
