  • the ppl in "the industry" can care less who drops on the run way. just "sell" those ugly ass clothes no one I know wears.

  • Wow...I'm so shocked! All woman are beautiful you don't have to be a size 0! And it looks like there anorexic! Kids don't need a diet they should be who they are! Everyone's beautiful! Not just your size!

  • This is suuch crap! I'm a size 0 and i dont think I'm to thin !!! im 16 years old and i love being a size 0 and im telling you there's nothing wrong with it ! im sorry i dont want to be OBESE like the rest of american and the world ! these women are beautiful and if kids want to be beautiful like them i dont see whats wrong with going on a diet

  • and one more thing. being a size 0 doesn't automatically mean you're unhealthy. depends what height. it's one thing to be size 0 at 5'10 then at 5'3.

  • 12:00 the way this model looks after putting on some muscle. wow!!! now that's what a beautiful healthy model should look like

  • I dont see how this is pretty? no curves or anything! There's a sexy skinny and that aint it!

  • i think there lots of people who are just jealous

  • "real women are beautiful", but i love the skinny ones. so kill me. maybe they should inform the teens that even if they become thin they won't look like these models, which are the most beautiful women in the world. But they shouldn't have used ana carolina ramos when she looked so freakish. I guess they wanted to attract attention whit her shocking look. Why else would anyone use her as a model at that state. And now she's dead. So these are models' professional problems, noone elses.

  • There's a difference between being slim and skinny...

  • is people idiot!? is not just media what causes ED'S, but modeling is a job,and they should have health security, whoever knows a little about that industrie, knows they CAN'T gain wieght. On the other hand,do you blaim people with cancer? or AIDS? no, and ED'S are an illness, becoming an epidemia, and so yes, there must be laws too help it

  • I'm surprised at Alice McCall's comments, especially about..Kenya and famine, which in my opinion is irrelevant. I've seen her designs, but this is the first time I've heard of her opinion on the subject.

  • honestly, i dont think the problem is that people hire skinny girls as models, i think its that they hire ONLY skinny girls. obviously not all designers do this, but alot of them do. like if u watch fashion shows n stuff alot of times all the girls have the same body type, theyll either be all skinny or all "plus size". i think ppl just need to start hiring girls who r beautiful in different ways, u know? like just hire pretty girls and not care about what size they r.

  • @manuegl27........ I don't know why everyone is making a big deal about this. Girls woth eating disorders have themselves to blame, They need to find help themselves or anything can set them off to not eating. I think thin girls a beautiful as long as it's healthy. My best friend is 5,7 and size 0 and she loves it. She eats all the time but she's just very lean.

oh and for the guy who wanted to know the song it's: Pretty Little Eyes by The Presets.

  • beautiful indeed but so sick inside :(

  • I'm in the same situation since I was born. But we still have to see that most of the models are not naturally skinny.

  • Maybe model agencies are run by men and women who don't like women.

I will never understand how can it be that these are the women that represent femininity and the true beautiful of a female.

Dear Lord! While walking at the streets I see many beautiful women and they are not skinny. They have brightness in their eyes and have a body.

    Body! Female body!

  • I'm sorry but fashion is the problem not part of the problem.

Girls are dying because of this crazy shape model you created and you only hire those who are skin and bones.

    Size 0.?

Skeletons at the catwalk. There has to be a regulation for this. They are beautiful at the catwalk but don't full yourselves. They starved and addicted to cocaine.

    This is sick.

Men don't like bones. Dogs like bones.

  • This is so retarded....

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning of this video. the exact version.

  • Doing a nude photo proves nothing. The photographers do all kinds of tricks when developing photos.

  • Stop saying all teenagers are thin when they're the age 15-16.. Girls hit purberty when they're like 12. If you look at 16 year olds a few girls are skinny, but they mostly have curves at that age.

  • I totally agree that ultra skinny models should be banned and go to the hospital and get well.

  • "Our shoulders are hangers.."

  • @elitzatz

it's so sad that they're treated that way. and even sadder that she likes the idea

  • I was soooooooo skinny when I was a teenager..and I hate it so much..I always wanted to have a little bit of fat.

People used to tell me that I was too skinny..and some used to tell me to be a model, but I never thought that I was pretty enough to be one. Well..I couldnt anyways..not tall enough.

    Today I'm happy with my body...finally I have curves.and I dont want to be skinny again...no way!!!...lol

  • good for madrid!

  • ..Who knew that people start their puberty after they're 15/16 >_> 2:22

  • wait, size of a healthy 7 yr old girl? there's no way any healthy 7yr old girl would fit the waist/hips of my pants, and i'm fairly skinny (not model skinny, but 5'7", 114lbs, US 0/2 jeans).

  • @trogdorburningator followup: is a "size zero" they refer to here a UK size 0 or a US size 0?

  • People like to make comments about me being skinny (5'6" and 122 lbs, size 4/5). I'm skinny but I'm not anorexic. I've had a baby so I have hips and a butt. I also enjoy eating and can eat just as much as some "bigger" people. I am naturally skinny and very healthy. Skeleton thin is not cute and neither is obesity.

  • the models that are size 4 r the healthiest bc they're usually the most active like coco rocha

  • Who cares?

No one is forcing models to be skinny. Not to eat. They could get another job.

Ppl want to see skinny..no it's not healthy but tell be a job thats not hard on the body? lol

No one is complaining about how plumbers wreck their backs...or nurses....or bus drivers get neck issues...

i dont beleive for a second that any model is that skinny naturally...lol....but who cares if they lie to themselves?

  • Prople who complain about skinny people are probly just as insecure as anorexics..their problem is tht they're too fat..

blood tests are a good idea and just becuz ur really slim doesn't mean ur unhealthy

I'm 5'7 and weigh 97 lbs. And blood tests always come out 100% healthy :)

    Ps: I'm a guy and I'm also a vegetarian

  • Blame Twiggy

  • why not just send bolts of fabric down the runway on wheels? that would serve the designers' need. models are 'discovered' on the street for a reason. to remove them from the mainstream so we don't all have to look at them unless we pay. like a freak show in victorian times. un-pc yes, but true.

  • the thing is... people (the designers who like to use skinny models in particular) seem to think that the main issue is the health of the models. while that is a very important issue, it's the influence of said models and their bodies on teen girls who idolize them. though it may be superficial to "idolize" a super thin model, it's the truth. then those girls influence their friends and so on. it causes a lack of self-confidence and a rise in self degradation.

  • What I do not understand is how morbid obesity can be validated by some sort of "fat gene."

I am 176cm and weigh 51 kilos. i have been skinny all my fucking life. If people feel like a I am ill for being this way go fuck yourself.

    Natural bodies are beautiful.

    Naturally curvy is gorgeous.

    Naturally thin is gorgeous.

    Morbidly obese is not.

Starving yourself to be that size when you naturally aren't is not.

  • @dosankomomohime Iknow this is an old comment, but kudos to you for speaking up. I get sick of people down skinny woman too. I'm curvy myself but I can appreciate a woman's natural form. No matter what it is. You're 100% right.

  • @dosankomomohime You have been skinny ALL your life, but you can't accept that there might be a "fat gene". Well I have been fat ALL of my life. I was 32 lbs on my first birthday( 14.5 kilos). I am not a junk food eater. I am over 60 and when I was young my family never at junk food (we lived in the country) and rarely ate anything sweet. All my family is long lived and overweight.

  • @dosankomomohime Love your attitude. Whatever is natural and healthy for the individual is what should be celebrated. As long as you are healthy then brilliant. There are people who have hormonal problems that make them overweight though - there is something called hypothyroidism and it can make people put on a LOT of weight. My mum has this and gained a LOT of weight but once she sorted it out she lost the excess weight. Some people are also more susceptible to being overweight than others too

  • wen is this stupidity gonna stop, wtf is up with people? every1 these days is either super fat or a skaleton!

  • I think it's a wierd and twisted industry

and I don't get the fascination with skinney

But these girls all have a choice. If they don't like it go to school to do something else. Ultimately the mainstream public decides whats acceptable by their financial support.

  • The solution is very simple Models should be size 4-6 innstead of 0-2 A size 4 is ok and not anorexic If you want to see the difference watch fashion shows from 1994 and from 2009 and you will understand Nadja Auermann who is model body ideal was a size 4

  • What the Hell kind of people are giving thumbs up to comments that glorify this unhealthy look and thumbs down to people who say they actually *gasp* prefer healthier looking women? If your BMI is this low, you need to see a doctor immediately. You can say you're naturally anorexic-looking all you want, but if you are this thin you are malnourished. It is possible you are eating a healthy amount, but you are not absorbing the nutrients or you wouldn't look like this.

  • Anyone who says you can be an adult and a healthy size zero is delusional. If you are an adult and obese it MIGHT be a glandular problem, but it is STILL an unhealthy illness that needs to be addressed, just as an adult size zero has some kind of illness that needs to be addressed. A size zero? That is an ILLNESS. You can SAY it's natural, but no matter what, it cannot be denied that it is UNHEALTHY. If you are eating normally and are still that thin, you need blood tests.

  • who is the asian model from 0:32??

  • Comment removed

  • horrible final remark. unacceptable. as if you cannot be thin an healthy! are these people being granted by the biscuit companies?

    ...or mc donald's? stupid.

  • It is sheer arrogance to deny there is a problem and Greed is behind it. A lot of these models look like inmates of Belsen or Auschwitz ..Fashion organizers who claim there are no problems are not thin themselves. No body should be admitted to the catwalk unless they are of a raesonable weight, and perhaps a medical certificate,( paid for by the fashion "industry" ,as they have more than enough money ).

  • My sister and I were always too thin while growing up. It didn't faze me about being thin until someone said; gain some weight but age catches up with you. My sister weighs probably, she won't tell me, 150 pounds and I weigh 133 pounds but we both are 46 yrs. & 48 yrs. and both have had two children each. That's life.

  • totally, im 6'1 and i weigh 125, a zero in girls and everyone assumes im anorexic, but im just thin and i think its great u and ur sisters are still thin ;)

  • Comment removed

  • Actually designers look for girls from third world countries like eastern europe !

don't talk if you don't know, that's why there a few model from first world countries

  • i had an eating disorder for 16 years and have been free of it for 5 years now. i think it is pathetic that most of the designers wanting skinny models can't even fit into their own line. i understand that eating disorders are a disease, but as far as the modeling world goes, why don't designers just pay people who are really starving in 3rd world countries to model their clothes, instead of someone that refuses to eat? Man, this world is f**k up!!!

  • @afrofaerie They prefer white girls, so going to places in Africa/Asia isn't an option.

  • haha that alice mccall lady was picking her nose...

  • yes it is, and it also is a pride issue with man

  • I think the rules for the catwalk should be changed I think average woman should be on the catwalk.

As its US who buy the clothes that are shownb on these catwalks.

and I dont think designers NOR the industry are reaching out to the average sized woman

  • I hope this doesn't catch on in New York and London. I like the model silhouette.

  • true true true

  • what is the song in the beginning ??????

  • fashion is a vain industry. models want to look perfect. designers want their designs to be showcase nicely. the pressure for models is fierce. you cannot compare an average women to a high fashion model. that's impossible. modeling has requirements just like the any other industry. to be a doctor, you need a degree. to be a model, you need to be tall and thin.

  • But saying that think realistic

Its mainly average sized woman of a normal size and height who buy these clothes that these supermodel parade in

Like me and many other woman who are the Uk average are put off when they see tall slim women wear these clothes cos we all assume that we will look frump and fat in these clothes.

    Well thats my opinion anyways

  • Yeah is true.. but who use that clothes.. only models??

    Who read the fashion magazines?

    The average woman....

    Sorry for my english---

  • "Health is more important than the image." "Healthy is Beautiful." I'm so pleased that some people in the fashion world have their heads on straight! Lets hope that message spreads. :)

  • OMFG! at 5:47 i immediatley recognized the 'cat lady' plastic surgery monster jocelyn wildenstein in the audience!

  • most models are genetic freaks, and i'm not saying that to insult them they're VERY tall and VERY slim naturally but i agree that at times it's taken to excess..

  • i like to be normal not fat and not skinny!:)

  • Mmm in first world countries there's an obsity problem, i'm from south america and in brazil, chile and argentina that size is normal, because there it's not much of plastic food as in first world countries !! i'm a man and i like skinny girls, i mean not in bones, but like vlada roslyakova is fine :)

  • Your idea of beauty is still influenced by other Western countries. I know that traditionally, women are a lot more curvy in Brazil than in a country like the US. There's nothing wrong with that, as I think it's a lot healthier, but I don't think obesity is the issue.

  • y cant people see that size 0 is unattractive skinny is fine but too skinny is unhealthy

  • lol yes i totally agree!!! :)

  • oki no problem :)

  • inner beauty is beautiful you can have it if your skinny or fat but if your too skinny its unhealthy

  • As a thin girl myself, I won't deny that lots of girls are naturally skinny SUMTIMES. But is that clothing material is so expensive that fashion designers can't make bigger sizes for the models to wear?! Too bad trees don't have legs and take orders, then they could replace these in demand "tall, willowy" girls. And worse off, many a NEW modelling agency around the world where anorexia isn't an issue is revering this frame as the IT. I guess we have to sit back and watch the e.d.'s roll in.

  • high fashion is all about angles and models are suppose to have that angles with their body. H.FAshion is really strict, if the clothes dont fit, ur out. Models are smaller than normal people, but thats what fashion really is. Its a cut throat industry, but being skinny doesnt mean ur not healthy... u can be slim but healthy at the same time..

  • Anorexic models in the fashion industry is the fault of highly influential gay designers. That's why these models have the bodies of adolescent 'boys'.

  • OOh what's the song played in the beginning in the background? :)

  • hey guys i think you lot need a pie.. i have a spare mince pie in the fridge? i could warm it up for one of you? gimme a shout back if you want my spare pie

  • BMI can only tell you so much about a person's health. I'm built like those models and my BMI is between 16 and 17, but I've never restricted my eating or made msyelf throw up or exercised insanely...it's just me! And I'm beautiful.

  • No offense but I don't consider someone with a bmi of 18-19 (like most of the "acceptable" models) "curvy"...show me someone with a bmi of of say 25-26...that's curvy for the most part.

  • Curvy is more about proportions than size. A girl could be 33-22-33 (quite small) and be considered curvy. I hate when people use curvy as a pollite version of chubby.

  • um yeah I see where ur going w/ that there are definitely very small curvy girls out there, but that's not what I meant when I say curvy I mean have a relatively high percent body fat/muscle for their height, something on top of bones which would genrally mean higher bmi. What's wrong with chubby? Chubby for me is in one or a couple of spots, curvy is kinda like pleasantly chubby all over.I consider myself curvy. Or chubby whatever. Med txt say I'm obese. It's about perspective Above is mine.

  • I have a BMI close to 18 and, yes, I am relatively skinny, but to people in the fashion industry I'd probably be fat and too curvy. I can hardly even find pants that fit me because my hip width does not fit the super skinny standard. I think that's messed up. I wish there were more models that actually look like women, not like little girls or even boys. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

  • 12:53..quit trying to excuse a disease..i am anorexic/bulimic and although i do not BLAME the media, it does have it's influence..15:15..FUCK YOU you are just an idiot! people in kenya are starving because they have no food..girls and boys in flourishing countries are starving because they want "perfection" and a sense of control..so yeah, we DO need to focus on this shit because we are a starving nation by choice and there is something wrong with that, especially when the media glamorizes it

  • @hesky:

My opinion...all this shit in media should become forbidden... nobody who does NOT have an ED knows what kind of great shit it is and how hard it is to go through....

  • i agree with you 100%

  • I AGREE!

  • @07hesky07 I agree. That designer at 15:15 bringing up Kenya- give me a break! And then saying, "fasting models" like having bulimia & anorexia is just fasting... what an idiot. She's probably obsessed with being thin herself.

  • They're not skinny ? maybe there is too much fatness in first world countries, but i'm from brazil and there's a lot of girls naturally like that and people don't say she's anorexic or what, maybe it's time to people in uk and us to change their eating habits, not more mcdonalds or places like this, i've been also in argentina and chile and people is thin, i'm not in the fashion world or something but i just don't that's skinny !

  • SCREW the fashion industry AND hollywood for doing this to people. these models are ALL either starving themselves or throwing up. this is NOT what real women are supposed to look like. this is not even what the average 13 year old girl looks like.

  • music, please ? does anyone know the tittle of first song ?

    models are realy thin *.*

  • Comment removed

  • everyone who agrees that he/she would prefer to see models with a well shaped body with butt and boobs agree with me with a thumb up -->

  • I have to disagree with the comment that models are like coat hangers. For starters, these outfits are designed to be worn by people NOT objects. And people, specifically women, have curves, breasts, butts and all.

It's annoying and frustrating to buy clothes that are made for women who have no breasts or butts at all because these people are not WOMEN! =.=

To say that Hollywood is to blame entirely because they started the thin fad is wrong. Anyone here remember Twiggy?

  • That Hilary Brit bitch is in complete denial. Hollywood to blame?! Didn't Rosie O'Donnel and Roseanne Barr come out of Hollywood? It's in the fashion industry that normal, womanly curves are considered "grotesque", "fat", "ugly" and unwanted. They are the ones who insist models be super-skinny-size-zero; probably because they don't have enough skill and style to make clothes for REAL women, just for coat hangers!!

  • As someone who suffered from anorexia nervosa for 30 yrs of my life I would say that skinny models had absolutely NOTHING to do with my eating disorder. I had no interest in fashion and never tried to emulate other women. I may annoy some people here, but I feel that the size zero debate does nothing to help the public understand the complexities of anorexia, which is a developmental disorder/mental illness. If a teenager diets excessively to try to look like a model (CONT>>>)

  • she may develop disordered eating, and may engage in bulimic behaviours, but that doesn't mean she has an eating disorder. The models who died from malnutrition/anorexia may have had a propensity to develop anorexia already. I know a number of women with anorexia who get really annoyed at the suggestion that their distressing illness is trivialised and explained on the basis of vanity. Anorexia is NOT about vanity. That said, very thin models don't look attractive, so why not use heavier girls?

  • omg ive been trying to say this for agesss, tryig to lose weight by choice doesnt mean ur anorexic, but yh i agree an eating dsorder can develop from there.

i personally think that slim/toned NOT SKINNY women look good on the catwalk, but i want to see a womanly shapes! if some was a uk size 16 and had curves, it wud look amazing. to me its all about proportions because these models really look like boys. thts why i really like tyras body, its curvy as in she has a nice shape.

  • i think that superskinny is beautiful espeshly the australian models at the end of this clip!!

  • u need to go to the doctor!

  • sorry but i don't find them beautiful...

  • hahaha skeletons

  • If you shaved their heads they would look like aliens.

  • Everyone needs to understand that it is not healthy to be to thin but, some people who model like me are healthy I am a size 2 and healthy I love the clothes here so much . I wish people would understand healthy is beautiful no matter what body type we are all different:)

  • at 1:00, oh dear god.

SOMEONE PLEASE FORCE FEED HER A TWENTY POUNDS OF PIZZA!!!

That is just PITAFULL. and i say that with a passion. London seriously needs to ban those super skinny and super dead looking models before another one of our young girls look at this and starts to kill herself!

THIS IS NOT A LIFESTYLE PEOPLE, IT'S SERIOUS!!

  • how are poles attractive???

  • Hilary is Full of S**T. Shes done nothing to try and make these models meet the (still under weight) avarage. "Its not our fault, Its Hollywoods Falt" Take some reponsiblity.

"what have you done to help the sisuation?"

"Weve asked our designers to please use "healthier" Models"

She has ALL the power and still does nothing. These girls are a dime a dozen, who cares if one or two dies, next month there will be 100 more 15 year olds to pick from

  • Some of them look like walking corpses.

  • this is a wonderful video. i think everyone should walk away from this video in realization that beauty is beauty! let NO ONE define how beautiful you are. God made us all beauful in His sight, dont let anyone make u think any different!

  • First song please!

  • What is the name of the intro song? Anyone know?

  • Man is so self-destructive. Period.

  • London fashion week is NOTHING compared to Milan and Paris!

  • I love skinny Models...They´re awesome :-)

could anyone tell me what song is it of the start of the docu???I need to know!

  • First of all, stick thin models are out, women with curves like victoria secret models and sports illustrated models are in.

Second of all, blame hollywood? Models NEED to be thin, or they dont get the job. Actresses should be thin, but their career doesnt depend on it.

Also, how does starving people in africa compare to models with eating disorders?People in africa WANT the food, models reject it. Thats two completely different topics, and the woman that brought it up is a complete idiot.

  • i have been modeling since i was 15, im not "thin" but still get PLENTY of work. check out my vids. feel free to comment on anything :)

  • I model and I'm tall and thin but, I'm healthy.

  • id love to travel and model like you and get more succesful. any tips? any ways your can tell me how to stand out at castings? thanks btw i love the pic on ur page. xxxx

  • You just have to be confident and be you don't try to be anyone else. Also sometimes people in the industry may cause insecurities that you never had before, Just well, in this industry you need thick skin.

  • thankyou so much i really appreciate you replying ill definetly remember that for my next casting :) love you xxxxx

  • Your welcome and I wish you the best of luck on your Modeling. Also fallow your dream and don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

  • i think its really unfare the way skinny models are being treated , i mean there are people like me that were born like that and its like being descriminated when they think you have anorexia its not fare!!

  • the presets, off their new album apocolypso

  • Eh, i am a size 3, and 5'2"...I am considered on the low side of the BMI. And most people think i am slender, but i don't. In fact, I would like to lose weight. But that is my own decision, it is not influenced by the modeling world. We shouldn't blame the fashion industry. Its ultimately the individuals decision.

  • that's called anorexia nervosa.

  • My mother is a psychologist. I would know if I suffered from a mental disorder. Unless you have a education in mental health and personally know the individual, don't make judgments like that.

  • sorry, you're right. if you want to lose weight it's your decision, but do it good, don't puke and stuff like that :)

  • everyone should love their body shape...=]

  • models who claim they are naturally like this are lieing.

unless mebye they are suffering from a disease or somthin. (why diseased looking people are on the runway i dont know)

  • i'm 5'4 and 98 pounds,i use size 0,one day a girl in high school called me"anorexic" but even my brothers are skinny,my 30 years old sista weights 98,she has 2 daughters,,,,MANY TIMES IF WE ARE SKINNY IS BECAUSE HERITAGE....THING THAT MANY PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND.

    PEACE,

    ME

  • The designer says at the end that the real problem lies in Africa! What?!? Young girls don't get thinspiration from the starving people in Africa!!

  • To Annehn; shes saying the problem is the food shortage there.

  • I'm the same weight and all around size as I was at 14. Puberty is like 2 years for girls.

  • I've got a friend trying to figure out what the first song is playing in the background... Does anyone know?

  • I think if you're shorter, like 5'5 and under, a size 0 is ok. but these models who are 6ft and taller, a size 0 is way to skinny. I'm 5'2 and I wear a size 2. I don't think I'm fat or too skinny. Alot of it has to do with height, I think most people don't realize that.

  • I agree with this all too much, I am a size 6 with a C cup and one day i want to get a breast reduction and be as tiny as i can. I pinch at my curves and moniter what i eat to extreme. I avoid looking in the mirror and feel so inadequate to other, thinner woman. I believe if view of what was 'beauty' was different, less young girls would grow with view points on their own bodies, like me.

  • a woman died. many women have died. dying is very serious."skinny" models should be banned. sick is not beautiful.i don't think this world should promote sickness as something to be beautiful.this is something that needs to be addressed.the agencies are taking the right initiative to be cautious. you see the rib bones, and the protruding collar bones, and the tired eyes. no healthy human being looks like this. it is a natural observation, and i think it should stop being ignored and glorified.

  • I think being the skinny bitch is fun :)...

  • size zero IS NOT pretty or beatiful in neway at all..sorry if im offending ne1 out there but seriously, being that skinny isnt attractive at all. Having said that, its diffent for those who r naturally skinny or slim Or lose weight thru exercise and still eat..but STARVING urself isnt the way 2 go ..

    peace xx

  • I think a two is the best, skinny but not boney.

  • If you are skinny by nature it's fine. I have a friend who has always been very skinny. It's just the way she is. However, I'll never understand why people would WANT to be overly skinny. It's not just about fashion. Look at all those skinny celebrities. Body-wise they look like 12-year-olds. How is that attractive? They are not women to me. By the way, NO, I am NOT fat and jealous. I have a healthy weight and am still "on the skinnier side".

  • I'm a size 0-2 (depending on clothing brand), and people tell me all the time that I'm too skinny. But you know what? I feel fantastic. It's called being in shape. Granted, everyone has a different body frame so not everyone can be a size 0 and be healthy, but for those that can, why single them out for criticism? I'm sure there are more non-model girls that die from anorexia than actual models, we just don't hear about it because the girls aren't famous. If you're healthy, who cares?

  • Well of cours people will single you out if ur from america, most of them are overweight or obese.

  • oh countries where there's famine and not countries where theres dying anorexics, oh okay, where has my head been McCall. Stupid cow, I am not buying her clothes.

  • "its not like actual life" what a idiot. it is HER ACTUAL LIFE it is ACTUAL LIVES

  • The thing about Size 0 models is far beyond beauty and fashion. It's leaked into the media, and into everyday women. Look at thin celebrities who are supposed to be figures for younger girls. Models are NOW looked upon as idols to young girls, so instead of bitching about how it's your JOB, be a human being, and take into consideration the damage it has put on our civilization. Africans are starving because they don't have a choice. but we do. and look what we've created.

  • it isn't for me. i'm not fat but i'm not really fit.

  • i have to do an esay on this for school! it's so dumb! if you say you don't have to be a certain weight for modeling, yes you do. the clothes have to be modelled and when you are tall and skinny people can see the clothes easily. instead if it were on a short stout person. not anything against short stout poeple i am!

  • Originally... they made the models get skinnier because it made it easier to focus on the clothes, and not the women's bodies, because they had less shape. Now everyone's gotten to stupid that they're looking right at the models' bodies again and not thinking about the clothes. So now what

  • Why are people so concerned with thin models?

Get a life. I am a size zero . If you're not get over it and embrace yourself and stop looking for other people to bring down.

  • oh, and I thought anorexia and bullimia fucks up adolescent lives

    stupid me

  • Most people were a size zero at 14 or 15?? Who is this woman kidding? Not only are these models anorexic, they're also uneducated.

  • Wow, that was a mature reply. First of all, you have no idea what I look like, so your comment sounded completely idiotic.. second of all, you used the wrong "your" in your sentence, stupidass.

  • Many people are overweight because of the food choices they make, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are directly suffering from emotional and mental problems. There are tons of skinny healthy eaters that suffer from emotional and mental issues. It all starts with choices but the average person has far too much mis-information about diet and food and make the wrong choices.

  • The Atkin's diet does tons of damage to the body, it's nothing more than a crash diet to lose weight. A proper 100% raw-vegan diet, it's a much better choice to stay slim and stay healhty.

  • I don`t want to sound mean, but that designer, with the black hat...she seams really stupid...talking about starvation problems in Africa...take a starving African child\women and compare it with a zero size model! I don`t think you will notice any difference, especially in wealth and pounds!

  • yo jamesriske do u know that if u need a blood transfution u`ll need a person whose weight is more than 110 pounds? guess you didnt right? but hey dont worry some chubby guy will always help you, oh i know what youre probably thinking... I DONT HAVE WEIGHT ISSUES OK?

  • no jamesrike im not fat, and second one, im talking about anorexic people and maybe i am not a lindsay lohan or paris hilton, but i know something that you dont know, and its that fat people has problems because mostly of people like you are inside of that bubble of holliwood and all that shit of your country when people has to be like "stars" and thats the principal reason of this problem.
