What really kills me is mags like Guitar Player give this guy "credibility". This insults my ears as well as my musical intelligence. Talk about self indulgent drivel. And this stuff is coming through a Dumble no less!
@Alaskastratcat How many records have you made with Richard Thompson, or Fred Frith. Do people like Santana, Sonny Sharrock or Vernon Reid respect YOUR playing?. Now granted this is a pretty ragged performance of this tune (Dropped D), but if you get the studio version, I DARE you to try and play this tune and post the results here.
@ThePunkjaz Your kidding right? there are kids out here that play The Allman brothers Live at the fillmore cover to cover, rhythm, lead, and harmony. You have people that can play EVERY yngwie malmsteen song ever made, I can shred but am not a shredder. I play every Allman brothers, grateful dead, zeppelin, and basically anyone ever, to say this is IMPOSSIBLE to play. You would have to be tone deaf, drunk and on bad acid.

that's really stupid artsy-fartsy crap - i prefer music (any kind)
abstract artists like picasso at least had skills to use if they wanted to
but i have my doubts this guy would be able to make any decent music
and it's a pity (and quite decadent) that he has the opportunity to use such exquisite gear when some 20 bucks stuff could do the job
