Haven't seen this since my Jr high school days. I think this was the late 80's version where a clip was mistakenly shown where the host actually came out and fell off the stage. After that it was taken off the air

The lowest score I ever saw win the Gong Show Trophy was a 7 and it was on the 88' version.The act was "The Candy Wrappers" The lyrics were actually good but the singing was God Awful.If the group wasn't singing about Peace and Love they'd be surely gonged.Everyone on that episode got Gonged.That act barely survived

That's a shame that the band didn't hush up so your guitar playing could at least be heard. With the band downing out everything but your singing(which was okay but not great)I couldn't tell whether you guys were really good or not.

Bob Zany:In 1977, at the tender age of fifteen, the native Southern Californian appeared on the infamous Gong Show. Halfway through his stand-up routine, which he read from a piece of paper, he was pulled off the stage by a man dressed like a nun wielding a net. Eleven years later, he made a triumphant return as a celebrity judge. THIS was that turn(the first of several)that Bob did on The Gong Show. By the way, Bob has thankfully lost ALOT of weight and look/feels much better nowadays.
