Not surprised if Nimoy was the hardest "get" for this. Nimoy was often the hold out when he thought a reunion was not in his interests. Nimoy didn't sign up for the planned second Star Trek series in the 70s until it became a movie instead. He wanted Spock to die in Star Trek II (then changed his mind). Nimoy and Kelley declined to be there for Kirk's (first) death in Star Trek Generations (Scotty and Chekov are saying lines written for Spock and McCoy).
