@ZuesRoxs day 87 right about now, and ive seen better improvements!! :D, it sort of just hit overnight, the weirdest thing lol, still get breakouts but less dramatic and skin is way smoother. should be on it for about 2 and half months, and looking forward to being clear soon!

@ZuesRoxs it depends on ur size, and severity of the acne, like i had it on my chest, back, neck, and face, because i would sweat alot from weightlifting. Im on 80mg's a day, so i take 2 - 40's at night. Its not bad she/he kept you on the 40mg's you may just be on it for longer, but hang in there buddy youll be clearing up in no time, and be getting the chicks! :P

@ZuesRoxs no worries man! just hang in there, like i had the worst initial breakout ever, like all around my cheeks, jaw bones, forehead, it looked terrible but then it starts to take it away and the confidence just goes waaaaay up and your not as depressed, and stuff, but hang in there id say in about 2 or so more weeks and it should start to help abit more

i take 2 40mg pills aday. day 5 but im gettin all these horrible side effects.. i lay football and the dry mouth doesnt bother me but im like literally the hardest hitter on the team and i get a major headache in the first half hour. it kills. also i get the runs alot..lol and my back if fucking killing me.. but my face is clearing up fast but it looks like its gona get worse for melol.. also i heard i can get alot of diseases and can stop growing??wtf.. i get blookwork everyweek..HELP!

im on accutane and i get brown bumps and they go away slowly and im getting joint pains and nose bleeds and try skin and hair also lips so yah and your going really slow my doctor is making me go really fast into it haha im on my 5th month

im on 20 mg/2 months and my skin looks almost perfect - just like baby's butt (but a bit more dry :P) .

What i dislike about accutane is my hyper-dry skin and hair- so breakable- no shine >:(

heya, im from germany and my doc put me on 10mg and it still works fine. there are several studies that show it actually doesnt really help to take more than that. doctors from my country claim other doctors from the US or the UK would prescribe waaay too high doses, but im just telling what ive been told. :) good luck

it just keeps on getting worse in some areas and better in others

for redness i use aveeno sensitive facewash for redness

Hey bro hang in there. If you feel like Accutane isn't working you could try Septra. I used it when I was in the the Military. I drank lots of Water, Worked out 5 days a week, swam in the pool and went in the sauna every day. It really worked for me. Big thing as well don't stress yourself out about it because that is another thing that will make you break out. Anyways Bro hang in there you're not alone.

yeah i know excatly know what you are going through, my face was the same way about the redness, well it still is but like you my acne is going away but the redness is still there, and it makes it look like i still have bumps,,,its really annoying but thats what i use makeup...b4 i started accutane my doctor had me take those steroids too, they worked but he really jsut used it becuase i was really red, but llike i said that was b4 accutane.. but keep up the work..we all in this together,

if you're having problems with your face being dry, try Cer-Ve face lotion. it works WAY better than Cetaphil. I'm on 60mg/day and I am just starting my second month of Clarvis. (The generic form). The Cer-Ve is a life saver for my face!!!!! Also, if your skin is super inflamed/sore, try putting a cool washcloth on your face, it reduces redness, inflammation and it feels AMAZING. GOOD LUCK, keep us posted :o)

hey dude, i went through the same thing you are, i started at 40mg and my face flared up so much they dropped me to 20mg for a month and gave me anti-biotics to put down the inflamation, the went back to 40 and eventually 60. just hang in man, itll start to get better, stick with it.

well maybe its good that you ease into the 80 mgs ive actually started getting some weird side effects like my joints hurt really bad i used to run a couple of miles everyday and now ill be lucky to walk around the block plus since im out in the sun alot my skin started to get scabby like on my arms and legs and weirdly enough my skin(face) keeps getting better but the side effects are kinda creeping me out :s well anyways good luck before you know it all be over

Eh bro you probably broke out cause you quit proactiv cold turkey a day before starting accutane. You shouldve gradually cut back on using proactiv for at least 2 weeks prior to accutane to avoid shitass breakouts.

And bro try using cetaphil gentle cleanser, then the moisturizing lotion and then the cream on top of that at night. In the morning, cleanse and moisturize.

Never let your face get dried out. Always moisturize.
