My father was half Lakota, when a co-worker introduced me to this group..it felt as if something inside of me awakened. And when I found out that the background chanting is Navajo, which is what my mother was, I was thrilled at the connecting of the two cultures. I just wish I knew what the opening prayer meant.
@ShizukesaYuriko I could very well be mistaken. But, I had heard somewhere, a while back, that the prayer at the beginning was the "Our Father". But, I haven't found out yet if this is true, or not yet.
