Of course it looks like a fish eye, it's a fish eye EFFECT as she said. The reason why I use photoshop is because I can't afford a fish eye lens/darkroom/IR Filters/large format Camera etc. Know what I mean people, CS brings professional post processing to the masses at low cost. their just EFFECTS.

The point of a fisheye is to capture more. If you just distort the picture and put fake little black corners then you're not capturing more, you're just ruining your picture. This defeats the purpose of a fisheye lens.

This is retarded, and anyone who does this obviously has no knowledge of photography/film-making whatsoever.

I've learned a lot more about photography since then. I didn't even have a dslr back then. So, i'm SORRY if I didn't mention it gives it a wider view. I thought people might have already figured that out when I mentioned it distorted the image by giving it a sort of bubbled look.

just make one like i did, works for any digital camera and its around 15 bucks. all you need is foam, couple inches of pvc pipe and a 190 or 200 degree peep hole, you know, one of those things to see people outside your door. so easy to make, made it in 5 minutes.

this doesnt widen the image it only distorts it...which is pointless< the purpose of the fisheye is to widen your shot so you can capture more. this doesnt do that it simply distorts this. i suggest an opteka platinum series fisheye (.3x) for the widest effect.
