You just keep getting better all the time. This is my favorite of the 4 Handel movements you've done. Your clarity, intonation and articulation sound flawless. I have the 3rd on my iPod and listen to it a lot, now I'll put the 4th on there to go with it. The sound processing in this one sounds better too, it really blends with the backtrack very nicely. Kudos to your sound tech.
@rhamlett Thank you :) I'm glad you like it. I'll convey your compliments to my husband on the sound processing. He's kind of taking that part over and he'll be happy to hear the feedback.
@AbruptBoy A lot of ocarina music is relaxing but this piece I actually have to focus on staying relaxed so that I get the phrasing just right. My hands sometimes tense up a little because it is a very exciting piece to play :)
WOW, let me say that again """WOW""" Your wonderful and it's so wonderful to hear the ocarina being used for classical music, I have a Bach piece in mind and if you're interested in maybe learning and recording it, let me know.
@DaZoriel Thank you Mai'ika!!! I'm glad you like it and if you have any pieces in mind, I'm all ears. Just email me or message me or post a reply or whatever. Thanks again :)
My mouth is agape at just how awesome this is. Kudos to Mr Bach for this incredible music and to my favourite diva for this performance! Who says ocarinas are for playing zelda tunes?
@kresimircindric Thanks Kresimir. I can't wait to play it in Budrio. I really can't wait for Budrio at all. I'm really looking forward to meeting so many of my ocarina friends from around the world.
That was very well done! It looked like you were not reading any music, but that you had the entire piece memorized. If so, I bet you did practice it a lot before this performance. That purple clay double sounds great (or is it you that your skill that makes it sound great?)! Probably both - A great ocarina for a great ocarina player.
Yes, I play from memorization. Strangely, memorizing pieces come very naturally to me. The polishing is what takes the most time and comes long after a piece is memorized.
The PC double is a great ocarina. There is some reverb added to make it sound like it goes with the backtrack but it is my favorite double.
@saajveh Thank you :) If you like classical music on the ocarina, you may want to check out some of the channels in the "Other Channels" section on my channel page.
You'd know more than me but the last 3 : 10 of Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No 2 In C Minor Op18 adagio Sost (sigh why do classical track have to have such long winded names?) is beautiful and sounds like it could be doable with the Ocarina.
@Thesixthgoon Sure! I'm actually recording the 2nd half of my CD next week, which is all classical music. I'll be sure to make an announcement when it releases.
I prefer playing classical music on the ocarina. Some pieces are more difficult than others and this was definitely the most difficult so far :)
@DingDongSongNL Thanks. Some pieces I can learn well in a matter of a couple of hours and others can take days or even months. The real time is spent polishing pieces. There are pieces I've been playing for years that I still play and practice because I want to perfect them.
To be honest, I never feel completely finished or completely happy with any of my performances. I always hear room for improvement.
wonderful tone, i like it!
