  • @MadMax6144 -- Hell, they can't even SPELL 'anticipation' these days! Idiots all!

  • Brings back memories of red light parties in the basement, dancing with your "true love" all night until someone's mother turns all the bright lights back on. When "going all the way" was only what the "fast girls" did. When a kiss was enough to sustain your teenage emotions for weeks, anxious to see that special person at school, thinking of him every time you heard certain songs. Too bad today's teen miss out, going straight to the boot knocking without the delicious fun of anticipation.

  • This was what it was all about, remember the house parties on 26th street in Churchill (Rich.,Va) back in the day. We jammed off of these songs..didn't know that they would be the classic they are today. Well, sought of..lol

  • This is one of my favorite slow jams ....the memories of what my granny called puppy love! so intense and FOR REAL! We need to teach our kids to pull out some these old skool songs to speak for them in times of trouble if they do not know the words to say!

  • @pannoni1 Have you or anyone else heard a title called the Bells with the lyrics "There goes white horses, with eyes of flaming red, there goes tiny ribbons, all around my baby's head, the bells are ringing, and they say all to go and see, cause I know why they're ringing, they're ginging out for me" It was recorded mid-50s/early 60s by a doo wop singer. Thanks in anticipation.

  • Beautiful ballad, the Motown machine rolling.

I was only a kid back then. Reading other peoples comments, 1970 I was in elementary school, but I remember this song, becasue I was singing this song it all the time.

  • Additionally, as The Originals were backup singers to Marvin Gaye (and others) on the Motown label, Marvin returned the favor in this song. He is doo-wopping and "bop"ping in the background. Sensational!!

  • @ldonhawk Marvin is also dubbed on the main verses and the bridge. It's basically a duet!

  • @ldonhawk Wow that 's a cool fact. I never knew that. Makes this track even more special. Love it! Peace. :)
