No, I'll correct myself. Kim is not 'smart', he doesn't solve complex mathematical formula w/ lightning speed, he doesn't create music that vibrate our soul. The only thing that s great about him is his Encyclopedia Memory. Sadly, God need one that could talk to save himself time from reading so he called him back. Now imagine. One person that have a memory like Kim but of 'normal'. So it's like this, Kim memorize everythng but can't even handle a simple task. It make him a smart man, but he will be forgotten one way or another. And you can't argue with that because you know it's true, the best that people will remember hm by is when they pull up record for best memory. That's it. But what would happen if a 'normal' were to have this ability, let us hope they won't turn into an evil genius.

The two halves were not connected by the Corpus Callosum as they should have been. As a result had attained 98% photographic retention of everything he read or saw. He also was unable to clothe, bathe, feed....basically take care of himself in any way shape or form. He was not a genius, he was by definition an aberration. No next-gen here at all.

The day I watched this documentary first time, Kim Peek died the very next day. I never knew he was ill at that time and in the end of the documentary they tell how his father is worried about dying before his son. From what I understand, Kim fulfilled his father's desire. Rest in Peace Kim. We all love you.

However, IQ does not = intelligence. it AIMS to measure ability to react effective and quickly in a new enviornment or something along those lines. You see a lot of shape questions... and I doubt he'd score very high.. but IQ is a FLAWED and HUMAN created tool - not even close to absolute
