Did you wipe your phones memory and wipe the ext partition? run fix "ext partition" to fix the folders on your memory card then flash the rom. If you stil have an error download a new file. Also make sure you have the danger spl and newest radio on your phone.

the figure eight thing is to calibrate the compass. You have to do it on most phones. just swing the phone around in that pattern. Just make sure you do it in public!

Flash a blur rom. Those apps are built into the framework. Not stand alone apps. It would be sweet if it was though.

Calibrate, not collaborate lol

Move phone in figure eight in all axis. Ok I saw that before and it confused me too. They explain it really badly to keep it short.

Hold your phone flat like it's on a table. Imagine a race track in an 8 shape for each of these axis.

One axis is up / down (towards floor / ceiling)

One axis is left / right.

One axis is forward / backward (away / toward you).

Keeping the phone flat move it in an 8 shape on the separate axis, one at a time. Hope that helps a bit.
