This is so sad. A legendary filmmaker like him couldn't get studio funding for his future projects while Michael Bay made shitfilms worth millions. Maybe we can never see Megalopolis.
He was born in 1939 - so since he's 36 in this interview that means the interview took place in 1975 or so. Apocalypse Now didn't start shooting until 1977 or so.
@thegreeninferno Whaaaaat?? LOL It came out in 1979! I know the filming was plagued with problems but I didn't know there were THAT many problems! LOL
@tall32guy Yeah.. Some of it was out of Coppolas hands like the typhoon destroying all the sets and the Filipino government taking helicopters off them. But he went over there without finishing the script and without having an ending. He thought he could improvise an ending once he got there. So being a little disorganized had something to do with it taking so long to complete.
way too self-conscious to me.

Ok, Francis´s voice is competing heavily on the right channel with some very cool jazz on the left. Guess who wins.

It is good to say he hasn't changed much. He reminds me of me...I could grow a beard like him. I think like him too.
