  • @SecularityNow...being European you may have learned how to multiply, but you guys sure as hell flunked finance class...everyone country in Europe, except the UK, is broke!

  • @1RayDawg I am from the UK and we are broke.

  • im just curious about the pen lol

  • wtf is thsi complicated shit ? 963*749 you brake it donw into 963*9 then 963*4 and then 963*7 , add them with one digit, space whatever move to the left and there you have it, no complciate bitch ass quantum physiscs shit or just use your AiPhone so you can say its not a calculator

  • Umm. You have nice hand-writing but it would be more understanding if you were to talk? I know my multiplications in another simple trick but your starting to confuse me in this :/

  • Nice. I might start using this.

  • this is just fancy long multiplication

  • i'll stick with my calculator

  • It's the same thing but takes more space.

  • DON'T try this in exams ...:) 5mnt is too much

  • lame.

  • Buy the way, the best way to multipling without a calculator is when can´t afford one.

  • Interesting but not so useful. It's better the traditional way

  • His calculation is harder than the traditional calculation!

  • it's the same rule of multiplication in column.

  • Or we could multiply like we usually do~

  • Math Is So Simple If We Have A Calculator But My Head Is Like A Calculator I Fastly Get The Answer Of All Math's Hard Questions. :)

  • Was this recorded with a calculator?

  • ok, is it just me or everyone is thinking the number is 734? its 794... not sure if that is going to make the equation right, but just to make sre you got that part right...

  • @KaluXFM i...guess..it is 794

  • I would like to learn this stuff

  • i gotta go through all tht during a test ? :/

  • "cross-pollinate[CP]" between the digits of diff lines:

    963 *

    734 =

    1. 3x4 = 12; {2} with 1 as carry [only the right most digits are multiplied]

    2. 6x4 + 3x3 + 1(carry) = 34; {4} with 3 as carry. [CP between the TWO rihtmost digits]

    3. 9x4 + 6x3 + 3x7 + 3(carry) = {8} with 7 as carry [all digits are included from the CP]

    4. 9x3 + 6x7 + 7(carry) = {6} with 7 as carry [only the TWO left most digits]

    5. 9x7 + 7(carry) = {70}

Taking all numbers in { } from bottom up = {706842}.

    HE'S WRONG!

  • @coldbloodedfilth its 963 x 794 not 734

  • @joeyjarraarra oh damn my bad:S:S

  • I was doing it in my head. got something like 706842 in about a tenth of the video time. and guess what. I was right and this dude just sucks, and really, the silly method they taught you in 3rd grade is way quicker and easier than this.

  • I bet people took tests using this method at the same rate

  • U fail I just calculated on paper and with calculator he is100% correct

  • Erm i hate to spoil this party, but the answer is wrong! Bahahahaha!

I wondered how 734 multiplied by a number less than 1000 gave a number greater than 734000.

I dont have a fancy method, but i could quite happily work out in my head a ball park figure...my guess would be about 731000 :)

  • @Dunnerunski its 794... funny looking 9

  • @Dunnerunski the g is a 9 not a 3

  • why dont you explain step by step .

i got confused , why did you get 24 , is this a better mehod than maya multiplication?

  • Judging by the comments, people either get it or don't and there's some serious editing and audio practice due, forget the numbers, do the practical dude.

  • thankyou for teaching this math trick this trick ius awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • I fell asleep at 0:44 and woke up at 1:12

  • How do you multiply by g

  • id better use the easycal trick...

  • I'm from Europe; so I can actually multiply without a calculator anyway.

  • @SecularityNow ok, so why are your economies all fu@%ed up then?

  • @SecularityNow What's 23,478,956.237487 x 5,785,275.2375923857 without a calculator then?

  • This is very similar to lattice multiplication. I'm just saying. :D

  • what do you call this method.. we are going to conduct a thesis about this.. can u help us???

  • I understand perfectly, this is amazing! Thank you for this.

  • Comment removed

  • Um.... you have video with audio these days. Why not use it instead of writing? Plus, you need to learn to focus properly.

  • i could of figured them out by adding with a pen and paper than do that

  • 963

    794 x

    ------

    764622

    Is easy :)

  • das dauert ja länger als auf dem normalem rechenweg.

  • OHHH i get it MC2 = banana , thanks

  • this could've been way easier if u just did it the normal way....! okay, people. lets just follow our math books, here...coz i cannot understand what this dude just did.

  • Try using what is called Lattice multiplication.

  • That's not an easy way...I did it the old fashion way on paper and did it faster then that!I wrote it out on paper in 43seconds!!

  • Do the math, his is wrong. lolz

  • wtf is g

  • What I learned from this video:

    4x3 = lambda2

    36+54+2lambda = triple lambda

    and g63 + 7g4 = 764622

    My mind is blown...

  • @Kholim that's what i was thinking! haha.

  • @Kholim

    I laughed... hard.

    g = 19115.55 btw

  • I did it 2 minutes faster using normal multiplication methods. What's the point of this video?

  • can u post a video trying 3 digit number be multiplied by 2 digit

    suppose 125 x 34

    i tried, but didn't work

    Tanx,

    It's very impressive though

  • @lovemankind2 I just tryed it and it did work, you just need to make sure you do your lines in the right order and split the box into 4 parts.

  • use audo support too and pls improve ur handwriting .....

  • May the force be with you.

  • who writes their ones that retarted

  • with audio is a lot better. man

  • 9 =/= g round off the curve on your nines if you not going to use a straight neck

  • this is retarded, you don't have to draw the lines to get to that sommation and the way you have to work it out is just complicated for no reason

    900*700+900*90+900*4+60*700+60*90+60*4+3*700+3*90+3*4

  • Comment removed

  • gee thanks, nice one! ;)

  • Very confusing ... At the same time, your method is incomplete. The complete method shows all the lines (e.g. 7 different lines crossing 9 different lines) so that the final result is determined solely based on addition and not addition and multiplication as in your video ...

I respect your work and the time you took to do this but I recommend to remove the file from youtube... you mislead people ...

  • can this work for other types of math????

  • there are easier ways

  • Comment removed

  • People just learn how to multiply the conventional way. It's way easier and less complicated even a 5th grader can do it.

  • first you brought 1 and 3 in the end. then you started bringing doubles. why? it'd be better if you talked!

  • it´s so easy to understand you fool.... And I´d rather use the conventional method or to use a calculator which are faster by far.

    So stupid and useless trick

  • Not very useful, but nice-looking method;)

  • hey thanks for trying though. i actually use this method at times.

maybe i can teach you how to do good videos, that looks a bit more skilled than this ;)

    lol

  • This might me slower than regular way. You split one hard multiply into many easyer, but still its more chance to make an mistake...

  • I like the way you write the # one.

  • I like the method, but it looks harder to do than just finding a calculator and punching in the numbers...

  • I don't see why everyone says this is hard to understand... It makes perfect sense, even without audio. Good vid, and thanks for opening my eyes to yet another one of the awesome little math tricks in the world. And hey, lets see that speed vid sometime soon. might make this worth practicing. ;)

  • wut the fuckkkk

  • I have, in the time it took this video to run, done the equation correctly on paper the way they teach you in school, checked it on a calculator and written this message and the video is still playing 1 minute left. Don't care how much faster you can do your little graph, it takes much longer than necessary and far more paper than you really need to do the calculation by hand the"old way". Neat little trick though, just not necessary.

  • You said you could do this in a about a minute? And you call that fast. How about just doing it the way you should learn to do it. I did it the old long hand way in 35 seconds! You need to learn how to multiply!

  • This makes no damn sense at all. Needs audio too. And what if there's no calculator annnd nothing to write with?

My father when grocery shopping would remember the prices of everything in the full cart. Factor in the sales' prices. Factor in tax. And he would be off by a few cents. No paper no pen no calculator.

  • @lib303

Your father is a fucking faggot.

  • So was lib303 adopted or was his father just not quite 100% faggot and was able to spread his seed one time?

And how do you know all this?

  • @TechLive

    takes one to know one

  • @shredheadXD

Sure, little girl. And I also know you're a cum guzzling pussy. Do the world a favor and shoot yourself in the fucking mouth, or simply hang yourself. Whichever kills you faster would probably be better for the rest of us... considering not only does nobody want you or need you, but you being alive is all around just a waste of life.

Eat my ass and suck my dick.

    Bitch.

  • @TechLive

    LOL!!!! what a fag

  • Wow, that's impressive. I can get within a few bucks, but to be off by just a few cents...

    That's awesome.

  • @lib303

If you didn't have something to write with there would be nothing to write the answer with either.

  • the original was better. thanks about these videos!

  • the original one was cool because you could just count and get your answer, but this version is really no different than writing it out the normal way (except the visual presentation) In the end you are still doing the same digit by digit multiplication that you do normally and still dividing it up into place values like you would do normally. drawing out every line like the other video does the multiplying for you, and you only have to count, but this version is the same as regular multiplying

  • oh shit

is that collage work or something

  • Ok so at 3:34 you completely lose me when you start circling and brining down numbers

  • that is cool... i just tried it with diff numbers. thats very neat

  • n1 m8

  • Now I'm really fucking confused. You lose me at 2:36.

  • were allowed calculators in school and the normal way is heaps faster

  • for YOU maybe -.-

  • bor i am so confuse

    ans is right

but ? i try my level best

  • cooool

  • headache...

  • wow, that's correct!

  • Oops, forget that. Didn't look up to see you fix it. ^^

  • You know, this may not be very practical, but it might be very useful for programming fast multiplication algorithms. Or use it to find the Nth number of the result.

  • or is that meant to be a 1 or a 7???

  • whast with the ^34 ???

  • how to: multiply like a scientific calculator??

  • Yeah, we learned that same thing in school. Exceeeept... our way didn't look near as sweeeet. Your's is like some complex math-graph thingy.

  • haha u havr the same pen

  • cool trick, but it seems that it takes longer to get the answer than the regular way. plus it's hard to understand the process with no audio.

  • great video - awsom

  • The result is uhm... wrong isn't it?, well asuming it's right, perhaps I'm just out of practice but it takes me a bit longer this way

  • true man thats y god gave us a brain just use it but he was thinking outside the box to bad it takes that long

  • Method is good, presentation is awful.

  • can u explain me what is this 63 and 123 ? cant understand:S how u make them

  • 123= 9x9 + 6x7

    63= 9x7

  • Our mathteacher showed us that in school, the lame version though (first video).

It's actually not that much of a trick. It's just dividing the multiplication into parts and sum them up.

  • This is a little too hard to understand just by watching why didn't you add audio and explain it step by step.?

  • okey... i will do it again and add some audio... gimme two weeks or so... ;)

  • @m4ede two years past u still havent done it!

  • @m4ede Sooo ummmm yeahhhh, It;s been about 2 years now, annnnd you still didnt make a video with audio...

  • @m4ede lol, its been 3 years, not 2 weeks

  • @m4ede 2 weeks? More like 3 years or more...

  • @Tesla125 i know..i think it just got more complicated than it already is

  • okayyy...it took about 5 minutes for u to explain this whole bit.....but i bet if u just did it the normal way with explanation, you'd get this done by a monute only....or even lesser than a minute.

  • Man you helped me a lot on tests that we can't use a cal in.

I can do it the normal way but this is so fast

  • man, you're the king...respect man!!!

  • this certainly takes more time than conventional multiplication method. I think I could have done faster.

  • i'm not quite sure, of course in this movie it takes me a lot longer to get the result, but this is because people who watch it have to understand how it works...

  • dude u cud have just added some voice instead wasting whole minute on writing the text.

  • it's because of that i uploaded the wrong video, text was meant do be already written... ;)
