Not a lot of people know this but coach Allen was Brownwoods coach in the late 80's...Brownwood did not want to pay a big contract, so coach Allen went on to Abilene Cooper, then Highland Park. He was my coach in B-wood. All the players knew he was special but politics got in the way...The possiblilites, if he would have stayed! No doubt he has won many titles with HP...

i was at the game. stephenville fumbled the ball with like 10 seconds to go running out the clock and they (the scots) returned it for the winning touchdown.

this was a different game. You can see the end at the end of the video. Highland Park made a defensive stand to finish the game. Heck of a game, on the last drive you can see Snead hobble around, I thought he had done an ACL earlier in the game.

actually, just watched the last minute again, it was in the last minute of the game that Snead had his knee bent under him. Highland Park scored the game winner in the last minute on a Stafford touchdown pass. He took a SHOT earlier in that drive, dang near got helicoptered.

The Scots fumbled the ball with about 3 minutes to go. Then, John Callahan intercepted a Snead pass a few plays later, although this is not seen in the video. Stafford threw the winning touchdown to Holt Martin (number 8) with about 38 seconds to play, and the defense held on to win.

That game is still the most intense football game I have ever seen in person. And this was five years ago.
