Holy shit. I am in a hardcore band and my sole motivation is to uproot the hatred, sexual intolerance and discrimination that follows the traditional values of Christianity. Put the Bible down and stand for a set of beliefs. That is hardcore.
@GospelofChristR116 There is a few but not many. Also they spend too much time being politically correct and talking about superficial unity. Remember when hardcore punk was all about teling it like it is without fear and just offending people without concern???? Too bad Christians have lost that.
@GospelofChristR116 That is exactly what you should do. Never let people tell you what to believe unless you know its what the Bible says. We can rationally interpret the bible and understand it easily if we try. Just do some research. All these Christian hardcore bands are just participating in the world and trying to make the gospel something it isnt.

Also isnt it obvious that all of those healing claims are always faked? And those tongues spoken are just mish mash gibberish and makes no sense not even a real language? think about it. Acts 2 the tongues were real world languages...not random sounds claiming to be heaven language.

@GospelofChristR116 How many times have people tried to heal someone and it didnt happen? It says "They shall lay hands on them and they WILL recover." Not sometimes recover. This passage can ONLY be talking about the Apostles and not the overall church. Only the Apostles had these powers and they all died out. Tongues is only foreign languages not a special magic language.

And if they are, which is acceptable to me, then how many Christians die from snake bites? How many die from drinking poisonous chemicals on accident? Always. Now its all about what the emergent church and liberals are teaching discounting the traditional TRUE doctrines of faith and salvation. But at least this NYC dude actually said that if a person doesnt know Jesus Christ they dont know God and dont have eternal life. THATS actually refreshing...Sleeping Giant thinks that saying "repeat this prayer" and a crowd does it it automatically means EVERY hardcore kid in the venue is now saved. Where is the discernment!!?
And they say "Ohh the church has hurt so many peoples feeelings and everyone has a broken heart its so sad! Religion is evil worship jesus." So they discount the overall church as a whole and then act like they are their own culture of christianity and say things like "GORSHIP!" as if its cool to call worship GORSHIP like gore. I mean dude the whole christian hardcore scene is what that guy said below as "comical." its so sad because I actually appreciated it in the 90's.
Sleeping Giant SUCKS!! And their lyrics SUCK!! And I am a CHRISTIAN!! They preach emotional positive gas which is empty nonsense. They are wacky hyper-charismatics and teach heresy AVOID THEM! Im sick of facedown records signing such dumb bands. Most of the so called SFHC people are into that wacky pentecostal spiritual warfar stuff which is unbiblical. They think they have some kind of magic powers of "authority!!" over demons etc. Then they babble in tongues and talk against the church.
the first guy's name is loyal thurman. he started hope for the rejected. if you haven't heard about that ministry, you should check it out. especially if you live in or near maryland. and check out Unified Underground.
If this is who I think it is, he's local to me. I've seen him do tons of stuff for everybody local, and although I don't follow the same beliefs as him, I respect what he does.
