I see people asking how can Jimmy be killed or Lex before he is Superman. But Smallville is like the Ultimate line of comics from Marvel or even the X-men movies. It doesn't follow past history but recreates it. This Jimmy wasn't the real Jimmy. His name was Henry. The little brother at the funeral is Jimmy. Lex could be cloned if he is really dead. Several episodes were about about cloning. You have to be open to the reworking of these characters. Look what they did with Lana and Lois.

Actually, that is a good idea about Lex. In the comics he doesn't know about Clark's secret identity. If he hasnt died he would know immediately when Superman starts flying that it is Clark. If they cloned lex then it would sort that plot point out.

Instead of making dumb episodes like Hex, Bulletproof, and Stiletto, they should have made more episodes about Chloe and Davis and Clark. And Injustice was so unnecessary! All those meteor freaks at the last minute showing up was a waste of time and money for the series. And Davis should not have ended like he did. The purpose of separating him from the beast was precisely because he was NOT the beast. Awful ending. Seriously, I am just disgusted....

Truthfully, I was extremely disappointed with the season finale. What a deception! Yes, I was expecting a huge fight between Doomsday and Clark...but the things is, there was no emotion. None whatsoever. It was so blah. It felt like they were just eager to finish with the season and move on. This episode was a huge let down. I hope Sam Witwer returns as Zod at least. And the Episode Injustice was a total waste of time. That should have been part 1 of Doomsday. Again, just very disappointed....

First things first. Yes it was not the greatest episode ever. I wanted a better final fight between Clark and Doomsday, but this is a tv show that does not have a huge budget. And as far as the Jimmy death part, it kinda makes sense. Jimmy is supposed to be younger than Clark and Lois. And when the preacher was talking, he called him Henry "james" olsen. So since james was his middle name, his little brother could easily be the "jimmy" olsen we all know.

I give the episode 4/5 starsbecause we waited this season entire season for Lois & Clark to get together and there too many deaths.JImmy by Davis,Davis turns into Kane then Jimmy attacks him landing him on something sharp before he died and Clark sacrifices himself to kill doomsday

I'm going to agree more but it was a lot better then what we have been getting remember how shallow the endings were most times for certain seasons? And hopefully in the season premiere of season 9 we will get the fight between Clark and doomsday we've all been waiting for...

That was the cheesiest finale I've ever seen. The producer should be stripped naked and sat on a bed of fireants. A whole 10 second fight scene with Doomsday and then WTF? I can't believe I actually set my DVR to record that crap.

I'll agree and say I was expecting more from the fight with Doomsday. But, at the same time, I guess we have to keep in mind this is a TV show, not a blockbuster movie. They don't have 200 million in their budget, so all things considering I'd say it was about what I expected.

I was hoping for a little fight from Clark though. A few punches or something, exchange of blows at least before Doomsday just beat him up.

Been a great show , but i do think they hav timed it right to end it . Some of the filler episodes they stick in are pretty dire to be honest. But in all honesty i will miss it.

You may think they timed it right ot end it, but thats a bit premature as its been picked up for season 9. So wouldn't surprise me if Clark is the one to die in season finale to go along with the comic story. Still have to see.

Think its time for it to end now to be fair. Ive enjoyed it over its 8 seasons but its lost alot of quality over the years . As ive stated before the number of random filler episodes they use to pad out a season is realy getting silly.
