Well for Trivium, Metallica and BFMV, if you listen to them, they sound pretty much like each other, being Trivium and BFMV, are like carbon copies of Metallica. But Trivium sounded unique among them 3. They are all awesome still, but, COB never cease to amaze me. Some called their albums from Are You Dead Yet? onwards are shitty, but, I say, every single one of their albums sounded unique themselves. But you gotta respect Slipknot in the old days (Slipknot and Iowa) album cycle.

TBH, as a fan of many metal bands, Slipknot are better when they were still younger during the self-titled and Iowa album cycle. Volume 3 was ok, but no disrespect to any parties, All Hope Is Gone is much like a sell out album just to continue the name Slipknot. But Children Of Bodom in the other hand, they didn't lose they're edge in every album they released. They still sound awesome and bad ass. I can't even name an album from them which can be called selling out.

i think they are great and funny because they are just boys. they're like us, they enjoy hangin' out w/ friends etc.

for example, Trivium, COB, Bfmv and other bands with young boys in it are better than bands with older ones...

during a Metallica live, if u try to get on the stage, they shoot you, because Metallica are snob. they think to be too cool and see the music as a job. cob just enjoy playing and this is the reason they are my fav band.
