@jacksite2007 only a couple of days were long drives, don't think any were 6 hours, though! the rest of the time, we'd leap out along the way someplaces to see local sites, and then stay whereever we'd headed for a few nights before moving on.
so, yeah, it was better than good!

@katethegeek oh ok. There is a package that is a bit like the one in this video, but its from NY down to FL, across to south CA, upto a bit inside Canada, down a bit and straight across back to NY again. I bet that's expensive! How much in overall fees was this, if you dont mind me asking?

the songs 'i've been everywhere' by johnny cash.
i went in august. until 10/11 at night it was lovely. then it would be cold... in the grand canyon & mon valley i was convinced my toes had frozen off! so take a few sweaters. that said, we were sweating all night in the tents in alabama!
english, welsh, irish and japanese, norwegian, australian... it was a real mix!

you made the perfect choice with the southern sun! its a fabulous trek, every day is a thrill, every blink is a memory to cherish. have a look through some of my other videos - especially the monument valley one (it has moving pictures, gasp!).
