  • @bodiloto Caro amico Le consiglierei di ascoltare la Cernei e, anche se non mi pare abbia cantato quest'aria, la Elmo... il bronzo dorato di certi timbri pare lo si possa ritrovare in questa ultima discendente dei grandissimi mezzosoprani della vecchia scuola. Un filo più di tecnica la avrebbe resa inarrivabile.

    Ah,adoro la voce di Elmo purtroppo non avevo la fortuna di ascoltarla dal vivo...

    Nella mia vita avevo sentito due contralti cantando Dalila,queste donne rimarranno per sempre nel mio cuore,cantavano meglio di Obraztsova questo ruolo perché avevano dei voci molto più belle...e lo cantavano con molta dolcezza e una bellezza unica. Queste voci in Italia non esistevano,era una 'specialità' bulgara....

  • @bodiloto Come sempre condivido ed apprezzo le sue valutazioni. Il gusto é sempre personale, ma la capacità di comprendere una grande voce o una grande interprete esula da preferenzialità, e non é da tutti avere questa equidistanza. che Lei possiede sicuramente. D'altronde ci sono voci che hanno "l'amore" nel timbro, la Obraztsova é una di quelle.... per me altre furono quelle di Pinza, Di Stefano, Aragall, Cerquetti, Besanzoni, Ponselle etc...,ma sono mie personali impressioni.

  • @bodiloto In fondo la comprendo benissimo, il colore ed il velluto della Obraztsova é unico e al di là della tecnica, ci si può innamorare di un suono che entra nell'anima e scalda il cuore. Quest'aria poi é oro liquido per le orecchie.

  • @numetutelare non 'ingrossa' artificiosamente il suono,semplicemente cerca il suono più scuro perché la cultura della formazione di suono per russi e i bulgari e la stessa cioè di tirare da se stessi il colore più bello possibile.

    Per la 'lunghezza della tenuta di fiato' sono davvero sorpreso...cioè non me la aspettavo da te...

    Rifletti un po' qua Obraztsova non ha 30 anni...e una situazione tipica per le donne alla sua età...

    Ho visto il concerto dal vivo,Obraztsova era magnifica.

    , ma resto del parere che la sua emissione non sia mai stata impeccabile, di più a volte ha accenti un po' volgari, Dalila é una cortigiana filistea non una delle "Halles", e sono la prima a rammaricarmi del deterioramento del suo strumento vocale.

  • @numetutelare esistono uomini che adorano d'essere dominati dalle donne possessive,ne ho conosciuti tanti ... Samson fa parte di loro...Quando una donna sente il suo potere non si 'nasconde' come lo faceva Verrett(era spesso stonata e la sua voce non era adatta a questo repertorio)e non soltanto la Verrett...

    Negli anni 50-60 Dalila era interpretata dal....... contralti...è la bellezza della voce che impressiona un uomo,creare la bellezza nella voce non è una cosa semplice,ci vuole talento.

    Stop comparing divas. They were born and have come to this world to do the best they could. These comparisons sound so stupid. They were so GREAT. All of them> were corageous, brave, and could show the world where beauty is.

    I aaplaude all of them, including the brilliant interpration of Helena, the supreme vaoice that makes me cry.

  • Perché i paesi dell'Est ormai ci offrono dei mezzosoprani che sembrano carta velina? La tecnica di questa donna non era eccelsa, ma il timbro, il colore, il velluto sono qualità scomparse nelle nuove leve che sfondano più per essere delle pin-up che delle cantanti liriche.

    'La tecnica di questa donna non era eccelsa',spesso mi chiedo che cosa e più importante per un cantante di avere una tecnica perfetta o la voce sublime?

    Commento molto interessante.Personalmente preferisco una voce magnifica e non perfetta...Preferisco un violino Stradivari...anche se il musicista non ha una tecnica perfetta.Amica mia,voci come questa non esistono più...purtroppo.Ciao.

  • Grande interprete e voce sensazionale per intensità, bellezza del timbro ed omogeinita'.

    Univa poi una tecnica raffinata con l'unico neo della tendenza ad "aprire" nel registro grave.

    Anni fa cenando in un ristorante armeno a S.Pietroburgo seppi che ne era una frequentatrice assidua: il solo pensiero di esserle vicino mi fece emozionare!

  • @mrweevie I love her lower register. She's the only one I've heard who sung this aria (listened to about 8 versions) that reached that far down and pulled that lower note out. Quite a few opera singers skip that lower note (cut if off short because they can't reach that far down or don't want to).

  • @mrweevie Also, I must say that I don't too much care for her pronunciation on a lot of words and how she went from (at 1:15) "...repo... tendrese". She did a legato with "repo" and "tendrese" leaving words out in between. However, and overall, I love her version of this aria.

  • If Verrett can be called the "mezzo Tebaldi" because of the beauty of her voice, then Obra can be called the "mezzo Callas" because of her intense and heartbreaking interpretation...

Pero la voz de Callas era mas grande que la de la Obraztsova, cualquiera lo sabe, no compares la caudalosa voz de la divina con la de esta mezzo, ambas son excelentes cantantes, pero si Callas abordo este rol es porque el tamaño de su voz en los graves era tanto que podia cantar de mezzo como Dalila, asi como la Obraztsova canto vissi d´arte en este mismo concierto. Callas si me toca el corazón, esta mujer no me transmite nada...

  • @bodiloto Гаранча именно меццо-сопрано, а не сопрано, но и не альто (а Образцова - альто), и Гаранча поёт эту арию, и лучше. А актёрское мастерство у певцов должно проявляться, особенно на концертах, в голосе, а не только движениями тела и выражениями лица, а у Образцовой как бульдозером всю арию - динамика практически не меняется - всю арию она громко поёт, а ария, за исключением короткого кусочка в середине, должна быть тихая. И грудной голос тут совсем ни к чему.

Нет, Образцовой я не видела, и больше не хочу видеть; я в другом видео видела как она пела песенку про капитана с детским хором, так мне аж страшно стала - будто труба трубит. А на сайте Образцовой написано "меццо-сопрано", что по европейским меркам - альто. Так что шутите, извините, вы.

  • @bodiloto Впрочем у нас всего дружеский спор - а в споре сто раз уважаю собеседника. Но заметьте, что такие комментарии оставила не только я - тут и другие люди похожие вещи пишут. Её голос мог бы быть волшебный, если бы она захотела - материал есть - его совсем немного надо изменить. Ведь то, что мне не понравилось в её голосе - это не сам голос, а окраска, а для такой певицы как Образцова это изменить можно в два счёта.

  • @bodiloto Честно говоря я про оперу вообще ничего не читаю, кроме учебников и нот, и мнение критиков и любителей меня сильно не волнует, и именно поэтому я оцениваю голос Образцовой не включая в оценку её репутацию. Я комментирую чисто своё мнение в сравнении с голосами других певцов, которых, к сожалению, в концертах я тоже не слышала, а только с видео. Но я сама занимаюсь пением, хотя не профессионально, но немного сама разбираюсь в том как получить определённый тембр.

    Elena Obraztsova a toujours tout chanté avec ce qui semble être une surexposition de moyens vocaux, certes son style n'est pas très raffiné mais la passion d'une femme amoureuse peux s'exprimer de façons differentes. Bien que sur la partition il soit noté doux, piano etc... elle me semble quand même sentir ce qu'elle chante (à sa manière)!

  • I heard her at her 70-th in 2004 may be. She is a Goddess, though her voice, alas:(, nevertheless she is a diva. Last Soviet Diva (never saw others:)))). By the way I asked to be received after performance- She invited me for a while. Her light inner energy is magic. Trust me guys! I'm a kid for her, nevertheless - she is stunning. Her voice is healing, alot of people can say that. Bellissima, la+grande dame de Mezzo!!!

In fact, Opera is popular music and it is very difficult to understand. My great grand father was Italian and he never went to a school but he understood Opera as nobody else. Rodrigo.

El papel de Dalila es, sin duda, uno de los roles más exigentes dentro del repertorio operístico para la voz de mezzosoprano, aquí la magnifica interpretacion de la gran mezzo Elena Obraztsova, una de mis favoritas especialmente en este rol

Imposible no resistirse a el aria "Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix" (Mi corazón se abre a tu voz) donde no solo cae seducido y rendido Sanson sino todos los que amamos la musica, La Opera SANSON Y DALILA compuesta por Camile Saint-Saëns fue estrenada el 02 de Diciembre de 1877 aunque en un principio estaba destinada a ser oratorio

  • The voice is great, I like the use of chest voice here (with a few exceptions ex. "à voler dans tes bras"). However she seems too much ready for war and not love, and sometimes she doesn't open her mouth enough (in an attempt at delicateness?), her rhythm is off (rushing, but the conductor is dragging also), and some of her vowels are just plain incorrect.

  • I don't think the voice has ANY flows as stated elsewhere.

    This is a cavernous, fearless chest-head voice, stage interpretation that must have rocked theatres in her heyday!! In our years of studio singers this sounds over the top though...

    I also like it that she doesn't sing Samson's changed-to-fit-text leading to the high B at the end. Something that is only suited to full performances were the scene goes on, but disturbing when the aria is performed as a concert piece.

По мне, наилучшим образом в "Mon coeur" вписалась Ольга Бородина (Каллас это вообще не идет, Криста Людвиг из принципа спела, а Джесси Норман - уже не Далила, а пророчица Дебора). Курмангалиев великолепен, но опять-таки слшиком светлый и героичный образ (юный Давид!), а Далила - тёмная и томная :)

  • I think she does a fine job here;after all, it's a concert performance. I'm sure if she were acting the role and interacting with the tenor,she would be all the things the critical people would want her to be. And Vulgar? Dalila WAS vulgar-read the Bible :)

  • Dalila may be vulgar in the Bible but is not in Saint Saent's music which is sensuous and highly refined

  • one of the most beautiful mezzo of the century, competent enough to sing beautiful pianos but unbearably vulgar: her lower register is so open it becomes ugly

  • I have to agree with her overly open lower register. And not to mention the "break" that I feel she ignores sometimes when changing registers. I mean ofcourse there's going to be a change, but here sometimes its as if she slams her voice into the different registers. Its a committed and touching performance.I'm a big fan. But sometimes, at least on CD, her dramatic vocalising is a bit too dramatic. In the opera houses I'm sure those aspects of her voice didn't pull her down as much.

This , to my mind, is more sacred than mass or mind or missions....
