Having rescued horses from all kinds of situations over the years (many of them ditches), this horse was likely drugged before they pulled her from the ditch. The fact she had no desire to get up once out of the ditch shows she either had given up (which often doesn't turn out well) or she was tranqualized for her own and the rescuer's protection. Either way, it turned out well and that's what counts!
