@WillWillRockU2 u know in pokemon stadium 2 you can use all Gen 1-Gen 2 pokemon games on gameboy that means red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, and crystal.
its not really cool! This came after the super game boy adapter that would play all gameboy games on the super nintendo. Its a rip off that it will only play gameboy games that match the n64 carts. They should have given us better. However if you have the japanese n64 ( like I do )you can use "PD Ultraman Battle Collection 64" with the transfer pak and play all gameboy games!
@trueslugger Yes Im aware Japan had the Super Gameboy 2 that allowed you to play all Gameboy games on the SNES. This is fun/cool because of the pokemon game and Mario golf and mario tennis games You could transfer your custom characters over. Sure It only supported about 12 games but battling your friends at the time with you custom pokemon in 64 bit was awesome and fun. Leveling up your desired character in Mario golf made it more fun to play rather then use the given characters.
@WiiWillRockU2 Not the superfamicom, im talking about the japanese n64 with the transferpack and the game "PD Ultraman Battle Collection 64" will allow you to play all gameboy games on the japanese n64.
@WiiWillRockU2 I know that this is an old post but Im just seeing your comment. Sorry for sounding so harsh about your video. I wasnt ripping you though as I was upset at the fact it wouldnt play all my games when I got it. I was unpleasently suprised!
@finly42 No, the games are still in english. It wont change the region of the gameboy game just because you put it in a japanese n64. As long as you use a ntsc gameboy game then it will still be american! That is the best way to go!
There is a game your missing I think and that is the Mario Tennis game for the N64 and GBC and you forgot to mention That Crystal version works for the Stadium 2 game.
I might get Mario Golf now.
By the way I wish I had a glass thingamajig (or what ever its called that your Nintendo is in.)
My N64 still works but when you look inside where the game is inserted it looks moldy, but still works like a charm. LOL
I used to have a transfer pack but used it only to play PokeMon games on the N64. Can you play other Gameboy game on the N64 as well, or only Mario and PokeMon? I just bought the GameBoy Player for my GameCube and it works great. I was just curious to know about the N64, just in case.
i just picked up a used n64 and i got that gameboy transfer pack can i just puck a gameboy game it and play it with out have an n64 game in the console?
Basically in the late 1990's or early 2000's McDonalds had a thing for kids you could play N64 or GameCube games. They were in plastic bubbles and have special N64 themed TV's.
@SmoothCriminalAaron I have a video showing the Store display model. I remember them being in Wal-Mart Toyrus, ect... Dont remember 1 being in a Mcdonals lol.
@DodgeMan360 No, only Pokemon R/B/Y/S/G/C. If you want to play any Gameboy game try getting a Super Gameboy for the SNES but Game Boy Colour games dont work on the Super Gameboy sadly. You could also get a Gameboy player for the GameCube that allows you to play any Gameboy game colour game and GBA games. You can Search Wikipedia of what games are compatible for the Gameboy transfer pack. Thanks for the comment :).
@capone1334 They work on the Gameboy colour and Gameboy. Its used for Battling pokemon on the N64, Instead of choosing the premade lv100s. You can also play it as you have a gameboy. You can also trade with your friend if you dont have a transfer cable for the GBC or GB. But that requires 2 Transfer packs to trade.
I saw one of these at my local Goodwill store the other day, but I didn't know what it was used for. They also had Donkey Kong Country for the Gameboy Color. I think I'll go back and pick them up and try it. That was pretty revolutionary at the time Nintendo made it.
@MoisChanVsTamama Yep you can. Just tryed it. again..... I also found out when I tryed it the first time it was my Pokemon yellow that was defective. I tryed with my second copy and the transfer pack read the game. Il be changing the video description for this info.
I bought a transfer pak and wanted to play pokemon Gold but when I played Gold on my GBA, I saved it once the game started, I shut if off and turned it back on but apparently it said ''new game'' and not ''continue'' fucking save errors....
Some Cartridges are broken meaning you can't save the game. I have a Silver that does the same thing It will save after like 50 trys and then when I save again. I will lose all my Data. Just look for a new game lol.
Depends whats wrong with it? If It's not reading the GB/GBC game try cleaning the Transfer pack (Like you would with anygame). If It worked before and the games not reading it Try inserting it in Again when the game is Turned off (This is what usually happens to me). If this is not any of the problems please reply back I may be able to help you.
@WiiWillRockU2 No it's not any of that.. when I played a pokemon GB cartridge on the transfer pak while pokemon stadium was on, it said save error for one thing.. and for another it says like an ID thingy when the pokemon stadium game was doing the transfer pak check and the transfer pak options in the game said that the pak could not be used but in GB Tower, it just said a save error on my Gold version, but I sold Gold for Yellow and I sold my transfer pak anyway but if I get another pak ......
*continued* I will read your next reply if you do reply to me about this problem I mentioned. I would really appreciate your help cause I'd rather just buy something and just have it work right away, I hate having problems...
Yeh lol You had a Broken Transfer pak XD. If the Problem presisted then its broken. Also Try not to use Gamesharks on your Gameboy game by getting weird moves on a pokemon like Thunder on a grass type pokemon. That could of caused an error also. If It happens again try cleaning your GB/GBC catridge as well and make sure its TIGHTLY inserted. GL getting one that works :). Theres some still Brand new... But the price for them are insane lol.
The N64 is A store Demo model. It's also in the store dusplay case. It was used in a stores to play demos of games like majoras mask. No im not hiding anything when I coverd my camera.
A N64 Store Demo Display model. When the System came out you can go to the store and play game demos and stuff like that. I have a Video showing what it looks like.
Do you know how to trade Pokemon from R/B over to Stadium? I read that you could but it seems the only interaction is trading from R/B to another R/B, using your Pokemon to battle a friend/computer, and checking data stuff.
Theres no other way to play a Gameboy game on the N64 Without a compatible N64 Catridge Like pokemon stadium will work with pokemon yellow , blue and red. But theres a Add on cartridge for the SNES that lets you play Gameboy games on your SNES.
Thanks for the video dude. I just found the transfer pack in a thrift shop and i wasnt sure how it works. you were the only info i could find on the net.
it lets you add state like me celebi has lv 100 all stats 999 and hes four moves are fly ,surf, tunderbolt and metronome nd i n change his moves any time
Well These Are Examples You Cant play Gameboy games on The N64 with no cartridge Inserted. You have to find the Game thats Compatible with the Gameboy Versions.
