@haghighat1 Thanks! Well if I understood the question correctly- when you have your layer and mask selected, you need to click on the quick selection tool, and then make a quick selection of the red car (in this case..). Then press Alt+Backspace, to fill with black and white.

i was looking hard to find solution to isolate the other layers from the adjustment layers till i watch your tutorial . thanks a lot for your effort . great tutorial

well done! just i could not use quick selection like you said to mask only part of the image,when i select my adjustments are grayed out,any clue?
