2:28-2:37 had just utterly perfect timing with the movie. truly drove home the fact that the Spartans were not going to return home and would die defending Greece.

You know, no matter whether they were trained to fight to the death no matter what or chose to stay behind, knowing that they were going to die later that day, even in the name of those whom they were fighting for, and still choosing to remain and give the Athens and Sparta among all other city states just a little more time...
