Super rendition. I just played along with it for a few bars. It is being played in Gm. (Assuming my electronic tuner is still ok!) A jazzer's key. Sounds nice in Am too.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Its been a while since I have checked on here and just want to say thanks for all the beautiful comments about the arrangement. THANKS TO ALL
I like it man... makes me think about autumn leaves in a different context, amagine Your having a not so great time in autumn, this would be more fitting for you than if you were as happy as other versions... great work...
All the critics should end their comments with a link to their own video that shows what they mean. I like the mystery in it...
I knew I shouldn't have worn pink. Darn. Oh well maybe next time. Rico is definately a much better player than me. It is however, my arrangement. If you haven't ever tried, arranging a standard that has been performed a zillion times before and coming up with something NEW is not an easy task. I appreciate your criticism.
Hum ! it kind of deteriorated in the end , you can see the guy in the white pants looking at the other guy as if to say ; hey ! it is my turn doing the solo, stop being so busy with the passing chords...
I like this. I heard the classical guitarist Milica Ilic do a quite beautiful version of Autumn leaves in concert. wish I could get a recording of it.
Hrrmm... that kinda pertains to where you live.... lol i'm pretty sure 90% of the other people have no idea what radio station "late night junction on radio 3" is LOL.
It was played in a small city of FLORIDA, and about half of the population there is over the age of 60 :(. Maybe the artists should promote themselves more among the young generations. I'm generation X and love this style.
not that it means anything but when i read the comment i said "this is probably an american" and you where! lol... most of insults to people on youtube come from guys like you... that think that everyone else sucks cause their not like you
Yeah, well Jose Feliciano is an American...and blind...and he can put these two "wannabees" to pasture. I don't think everyone sucks...just these two yo yo's and you...
see? you insult me and you dont even know why lol... thats why theres so much racism in your country, some people just cant deal with the fact that people are different
Thanks for the post, Jeff. Really enjoyed the playing. It's a shame that every guitar video posted ends up in an argument about who is the best guitarist ever! I'll keep a look out for any new ones you post. I should really put one on myself but not got round to it yet!
two words - Jimmy Page - wipes the floor with Crapton any day - Hendrix was almost as good but totally diffo styles - Page is one of the most melodic and groovy guitar players ever on electric or acoustic.
isnt it funny how no one cares about soulja boy being dead? haha ironic isnt it?

i love how people think classical music is so extremely skilled and wonderful, but i have never seen a classical guitarist more skilled than a heavy metal guitarist.
i do love the genre, but i wish it wasn't so up its own ass.
im sure you aren't suggesting people like yngwie malmsteen or steve vai, or paul gilbert cant read music?
anyway just because you can read music doesn't mean you are skilled. i know plenty of people who are learning an instrument that can read music and have no where near the skill level of a some of the better metal guitarists who cant even read basic sheet music. its just a way of putting sounds into a translatable visual form.
heavy metal is more inspired by the different ages of classical music than most other genres, especially in the guitar solos and chord progressions, comparing things that people like michael angelo or marcel cohnan in comparison to something like chopin, they share very similar qualities
they do indeed, but i think that they take it one step further pushing the limits and raising the bar (skill wise) rather than contemporary classical composers that are still writing to suit works that are decades+ old.
the other extreme is composers like nono and Stockhausen
Im sorry to say there is.. Hendrix although creating a great amount of new techniques and played them relatively well he did not master them now i don't mean to be negative Jimmi hendrix is one of my all time favs its just he ain't the best.
There is no such quantity as time only development & regression however each one depends on a precursor event to our frame of reference..hence we only travel forward in "time". Unexpected outcomes are the result of quantum weirdness where the outcome can influence the precursor events hence travel both backwards and forwards in time. yeah theres time for this and times for hendrix. Jimi's playing is slightly more rough round the edges then this because its rock and roll man. Hendrix could wipe the floor with these two anyday.
No way.I believe Hendrix was a sloppy player. with Little tallent. Yeah Hendrix could Harmonize but his playing was at most all slopp. anyone with Real Skill would recognise this point. But He sure did write some grate Music though. I guess Slopp is to harsh, Maybe Not Technical enough in comparison to these guys and the Likes of Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, or andres segovia.
Hendrix= legend. Ask anyone to name an electric guitarist the first name they'll say is Hendrix or Clapton somone like that not because they are the best, because they make you feel emotion, they're playing speaks to you. Fuck being technical man, you cold know all the scales in the world but if you can't play them in a emotive, inspiring way then you'll get nowhere.
No mate, that's my opinion, sounds like you know fuck all if you can't even appreciate talented musicians playing technical Jazz chords & scales - tightly.
Go and listen to some chart music or something.....pea brain!
at what point did i say that this was bad? look back through my comments you fucking twat. You know fuck all if you can't appriciate the immense playing of hendrix.
My point is I don't think Hendrix was that good & that's my opinion, maybe i haven't heard enough but you have no idea how much i know about music - we shouldn't even be talking about him as it doesn't relate to this video what so ever.
no, but he messed around with misty, harlem nocturne etc and he loved roland kirk and wes montgomery. its just not on record. i think both these guys and hendrix are amazing.
