Omg its the Sims soundtrack! Anyway... Rats are great little animals, regardless of their bad reputation. Cats are more "plagued" then rats. Cats have made it all around the world. Rats havent quite yet (Captive breeding doesnt count >.<)

Impressive! I have a almost year old rat and shes sooo addorable with her little black eyes and nose twitching. How many rats do you have there? 5? Wow! Impressive! How do you get them from not eating eachother? That's what my last rats did, lol.

I actually have 7 girls.

And well their handled so much it's unbelievable. They are family so I didn't have the trouble of introducting them.

So yeah they get on like a house on fire (in a good way) :P

I wouldn't put hay in the cage though. It can damage a rat's sensitive respiratory tract. I use a paper based kitty litter. Some people prefer aspen shavings though. =)

i want a rat but im not sure what type of cage they have my sister said the can get out of bar cagers (hamster cage) can they????

they need a rat or ferret cage but make sure the bars are close enough together so they cant get out. hamster cages are too small and they will be bored and unhappy.

oh and please get 2 not one because it will be lonely :)

yes they can.. believe me i no hahaha i put mine away for the night and the next hour i found one at my feet on my bed! lol i found were she got out though, she found a gap where the water goes and she climbed out of there, but she was only a baby so she was small enough now shes a bit too big haha

Haha. Well my mum knew what kind of cage we needed for ours because she also used to own a few rats. Thank you dislobell for replying to toxicwastekills I have been trying to do so for quite awhile now. But unfortunetly my youtube is not posting comments to my own videos.

I have seven boys and seven girls =].. Their all remembers of the same rat family.

I was given them when the mother got accidently pregant and I kinda kept them all :P x

I did the same thing - I got 2 girls from the petshop 1 day, one was pregant (unknown to me at the time) so a week later I had 13 rats instead of 2, 8 girls and 5 boys, and I decided to keep them all. I also just got a video camera, so I will be making movies of them in the near future, so keep watching my chanel.
