This building was built to handle an accidental airplane hit which means it was built of reinforced concrete and the ball of fire that's produce from the hit on concrete has a temperature of 1500 degrees enough to melt any form of plastic within 50 yards of it instantly. The passport was planted on the ground.

Couple this with the overall symmetry of the buildings construction, one could imagine how it will fall apart.

Firefighters heard a loud BOOM, then many smaller boom-boom-boom just before buildings came down, just as demolition would sound.
