If you've played since TBC/Vanilla, you've pretty much cleared all old school content. And after that, it takes like 5-6months for a new patch to arrive. By the time it is released, you've finished doing the new content on you character, so you start another 1. To do the content from a different race/faction/classe wiev. Trust me, if you've played the game for a while, you pretty much just do to the same content over again while waiting for nextpatch
