  • if u ever need to say FUCK in public just say FIRETRUCK it starts with f and it ends with uck XD

  • Ok...so I take a little offense to those of you saying stuff about the weight thing. Listen...I'm a bigger guy...but...I can handle my own. My weight has NEVER been a hindrance for me in my 8 years of being a firefighter. Not for nothing, I know a few heavier police officers too...they may be bigger...but again...they do their job and they do it well.

  • you guys can complain but you're forgetting that this is a job, and they do that hundreds of time a year at a minimum and not every time is going to be the quickest.

  • i saw something like that in the simpsons

  • best part about this: one guy in jeans and a tshirt, bunch of guys in shorts, couple guys already in bunker, and the chief in full dress uniform. Awesome. To all of you complaining about the response....look at all the people and other trucks on the street....clearly they were having some type of open house......powers of observation, they're amazing.

It is the most complete chronicle in real time of the wtc attacks.

  • under two minutes is a good time

  • in my company their motto is slow response= quicker arrival time. because when someone gets hurt by rushing over there or into the truck or anything they have to stay there and aid you instead of aiding those that you were responding you. al you have to do is get there grab your gear and get on the truck

  • медленно собираются что то..)))

  • nice lightbar

  • who is that person on the right of the screen at 1:03

  • @firefightercharles

    Joe Hefner I think...

  • You have a lot of nerve calling someone big boy. Looks like over half if your boys could use a diet. CO alarms are just as deadly as fire if not more. A high enough CO concentration and the patient is out in seconds. Keep telling yourself you are being safe, I am glad I dont live in your area.

  • Good response time. Timely and safe manner.

The only question I have is why was that guy carrying an SCBA to the rig. Idk how they do things at their department but here we have them already in the trucks

  • they were DEFINITELY not in a hurry.

  • @pbartolomeo05 Are you a firefighter?? I dought it big boy under two minutes is damn good.

I would rather get everybody there safe in a timely fashion then having them run around and someone get hurt

Your a moron dont critasize something you know nothing about alright?

  • Hahaha at 0.38 its a probie!! :D Probabational firefighter ha I remember when I was in his spot ur like everybody's bitch

  • usually alarm activation is always b.s well at least here in nyc.

  • @jasonbsa true true but sometimes when you thinks its BS its your worst nightmare I have seen it to many times before when I was younger and seeing my dad respond sitting there in the station litening to the radio of them arriving on scene. Then coming back almost about to pass out

  • they must not get many calls thoes guys are a little on the heavy side

  • @adamxaiver The number one killer of firefighter on and off the fire ground is heart attacks because of the stress and obessity of firefighters

  • @TheJad1917 thats why fire depts. should have a height and weight requirement like the military...i know if im in a burning building and something goes wrong i dont want my fellow firefighter not be able to get me b/c of weight issues

  • @adamxaiver

Height requirements or wieght requirements? are you insiene I know many good firefighters that are alittle on the heavy side but they know their job and they do it. I understand you want the "perfect picture" firefighter but 70% of the firefighters are volunteer, thats your neighbor so you really cant be choosey about your fireman if they do their job and can do it right fine by me

  • @TheJad1917 volunteer or not just take a look at the maday call in houston. The rit team was too out of shape to make it 5 stories to get to a traped firefighter. that firefighter spent somthing like 18 mins since the mayday was called till he got pulled out. Luckly he found his way to a window and was extracted there so volunteer or not u need to be in shape to be on your 'a' game

  • it did take them a while to get out of the house, but in there defense it was only a co investigation, not a fire or anything

  • Ok look I'm a volunteer firefighter and all I got to say is yes they seem to be a little slow, but you have no clue what the call is... if they're moving that slow, they were probably put on on-scene standby. No reason to waste a lot of energy running to the truck when they might need it later. Reguardless, unless you've been in the boots of a fireman, CHOKE ON IT

  • Way too slow, start hitting the treadmill boys!

  • I think it's funny that all of the mistakes people point out in this video, if you watch some FDNY videos, they make the same mistakes, yet NO ONE says anything there. Get a life and stop trolling on these videos. No one is perfect, no department is perfect. No one follows every single SOP/SOG to a T. Get over it.

  • it was a CO call. Surprised they ran lights to the scene.

  • @javol86 why wouldnt u?

  • @caneshorse u sound like ur not even one so shut your mouth and come back when your a FF its a CO alrm no rush there idiot no need to go fast and FYI your not supposed to rush thats how accidents are called

  • This is absolutely terrible. No matter what call they were responding to. He was standing up while the vehicle was in motion! I cant even count the things wrong with this response wether it was an emergency call or not.

  • Jesus they are really slow.

  • NJ?

  • It's a Parteeee !!! No need to rush !!!

  • you said it was a CO activation. Why take 2 engine companys for that? 2 500 thousand doller fire trucks running red lights a siren to a CO call. dumb.

  • you said it was a CO activation. Why take 2 engine companys for that? 2 500 thousand doller fire trucks running red lights a siren to a CO call. dumb.

  • I dont even know where to count the things that went wrong in this.

  • Comment removed

  • did you not see all the people standing around in uniform on the side of the road? this obviously wasnt a real situation, im sure theyd be alot faster if it were.

  • i live in bergenfield...i dont feel safe at all anymore lol

  • wow nice rigs been a while since I lived in Bergenfield, they finally broke down and bought these guys decents rigs.Congrats guys

  • man there so slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wow im glad that wasnt my house on our dep we actally care abot peoples property

    EVERY SECOND COUNTS

  • Guy's thanks for volunteering, but it's idiots like the one not wearing a seat belt in the second apparatus that leave a bad impression on the public. We've buried enough brothers, wear your damn seat belt vollys!

  • i'm glad i don't live in this town... this VFD is nothing more to this town than a condom with a hole in it (a false sense of security while you're being screwed). they move like molasses getting ON the rig, then scream down the road w/ lights, sirens and air horns - impressive... why would you wear full bunker gear to a CO Alarm anyway? i'll never understand some of what these volunteers do... but i guess i won't have to worry about that since i'm sitting here getting PAID to watch it! haha...

  • @futureff2 just because you got into the academy two days ago doesn't mean you get to talk as if you have been doing this for years. You sound like the 16 year old junior who just joined my fire house. Maybe you two were outfitted for gear on the same day!!

You show your comments about walking for a CO alarm to the Capt at the station you get placed at, but don't be surprised when he or she laughs in your face and does the exact same thing when they get that run.

  • @dltforce146 : haha, that's funny dick cheese... 'cause ACTUALLY, i'm a Journeyman Fire Fighter according to the USDOL, and i've been on the job for over 3 years (which is after i volunteered for 3 years prior to being hired - at a dept. that didn't allow anyone except officers to have any lights on their POVs) - AND, my captain was actually standing behind me laughing at you guys while i was typing my that response... and he's been paid for 13 years, and a vollie even longer than that, FAG! =Þ

  • I feel sorry for this city. No offense but our smoke alarm went on and we didn't respond and they came to my house like in 50 or 100 seconds later. Plus why are they walking and notice the guy at 0:23 walking and drinking. I thought they just finished a fire rescue

  • Not only are the slow...NOTICE THE LACK OF SEAT BELTS. I would be embarrassed to be a part of this department.

  • I am on my towns volunteer dept, I have to drive nine miles in the mountains to get to my station and me and two other guys that live near by me on my dept can get to the station, suite up, and leave nearly as fast as if it would have filmed these guys from the moment of the call to departure, I understand it is just a CO alarm but that doesn't mean there isn't someone passed out on the floor of the structure.

  • lmao, this guy says they roll 4 trucks with a total of ten firefighters, thats less than 3 guys on a rig including the driver. Ide rather my department show up with 4 fully loaded trucks in 5 minutes than 4 trucks with no manpower in 1 minute. Not to mention, there out of the house in under a minute 30, thats not to bad

  • Boy wait to the people they had to save see this video and think how much the firefighters give a shit about them....SLOW AS FUCK..FAT FIREFIGHTERS should not be allowed to do this JOB!!

  • a dead firefighter is a useless one...no use in putting yourself in harms way just getting there!

  • what is taking them so long a older person could respond faster then that

  • man they move so slow what kinda call was it

  • Glad to see there are others out there who have a clue.

  • I THINK I CRAP FASTER...

  • I think this is an excellent response. The description says the call is a CO alarm. Unless there are reports of patients, you do not need to be in a hurry. Also, judging by the amount of people in the video standing round and the Class A uniform, I'm guessing the call came in during a parade. No need to push people out of the way for an alarm.

  • why is everyone standing there like its a parade or something

  • thats a nice engine

  • when u rush people get hurt and it help if u remember all ur equipment too a min to respond is not slow

  • Is this Bergenfield, NJ? please respond.

  • wow slow

  • @aberhollboi agreed

  • I am a volly too you know what they say when seconds count you can count on us responding in about 500.

  • can we be a lil slower please?/

  • why is evryone in the neibourhood standing at the station

  • they were doing a demonstration and then got called out

  • they were hosting a convention at the time

  • Whats the point of going code 3 if they are going to take their sweet time leaving? And it does not matter what the call is....If they could have taken thier sweet ol time then they should have went code 2....Even if its just an alarm you still respond to it just as any other call....Because what if its the real thing this time?

  • That was a big response for a simple CO activation. In our department, usually no trucks are taken and the chiefs just go and check it out.

  • Must be old school type Chiefs," you guys stay here we'll check it out." I don't agree with that you can run it as a check call but what if the caller (and it happens all the time) mistakes the firealarm for a CO alarm? now another page has to be sent for the apparatus and all the homeowner can talk about is how it took 20min for a firetruck to arrive.

  • Comment removed

  • Rushing too much leads to mistakes and injuries. This was a CO Alarm Activation and I think they got out in good order. Besides, have you ever seen the way the FDNY responds? Not slow but safe and methodical.

  • You guys bitching about the "slow" response need to shut it. You don't know what the call was, you don't know what those guys were doing prior to the call.

Not to mention, they were out of the house in under 2 minutes, pretty decent response time.

  • @bullzisnipr3 not impressive pal, i work for The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and our call out time from bells ringing to out of the station no matter what shout it is is somewhere around 30 seconds. If its urgent enough for these guys to have lights and sirens then they should pull their fingers out and move alot faster

  • @DemoKid2007 well 30 seconds is really fast. At the Regensburg Fire Department it's about a minute (at daytime) to get the frist 5 vehicles out (command, chief, ladder and 2 engines), in the night it's 1min 30sec. And even as the central fire station is far in the east of the city we move go through the old-town into the very west of the city within 8 minutes

  • @EnjoyFirefighting Well that sounds more of a paid or paid-on-call fire department it just depends it look like Volunteer because of the station size but I have no Idea. Here on my Volunteer department it just depend on who is at the station or how long it takes them to get there usualle on week days we have 3-4 guys always there but on weekends 5-10. So it just depends

  • @TheJad1917 yes it's a paid FD. One station (27 vehicles and 14 swap bodys / containers) for the whole city (150.000 people); Around the city are 11 companies from the Volunteer Department, to support the paid FD in big fires, or when the paid are on a call for some hours to staff the main station.

At the main station there have to be at least 21 firemen any day and nighttime, at weekdays and weekends

  • @bullzisnipr3 Are you shitting me? Under 2 minutes just to leave the station? That's half of our total response time.

  • @chechnya I'd like to see that.. This is a CO alarm activation, there's no reason to be running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Slow and steady wins the race, we don't know if there were symptoms here or not, even still 2 minutes is a decent time to get out.

  • @bullzisnipr3 A CO alarm can turn into something major very quickly.

  • @chechnya How can a CO Alarm with no symptoms turn into something major quickly? If occupants are out of whatever the structure may be the only danger is to firefighters when they arrive on scene.

  • @bullzisnipr3 Boom goes the house and the neighborhood. Could be a sign of something more major.

  • @chechnya CO isn't explosive.. it does kill people but it isn't explosive.

  • @bullzisnipr3 Do some research, CO is very flammable and explosive in high concentrations

  • all you people crying there to slow were you there how do you know that the police maybe or ems got there first and said you can slow down response all you people all flip right away about there response but you dont know the whole story

  • yes, but if that happened they should have gone code 2, not lights and sirens

  • they are slow my vol fire dept responded to a fire in 8 min that fast for a vol fire dept and there where fire police already there

  • dude 9 minutes to arrive at a fire is slow as hell! In those 8 minutes the fire has already jumped floors on you lol. So 8 mins to a fire is fast, but 2 mins to a co alarm is slow?

  • slow and no q. what a shame...

  • wow take ur fucking lively old time , really i hope nothing really bad happened

  • in my county it doesnt matter what the call is, its up to 911 dispatch to either make it routine or emergency, if its toned out we go emergency NO MATTER WHAT.

  • thats cool guys take your time

  • slow?

  • what.... why is the response so slow? they took forever and at the end, when the truck leaves, you can see one guy in the back of the cab STILL zipping up his coat. thats not right. no call, no matter how bs it may sound should you be dally-ing your way onto the rig.

  • We will boogie to get out for a box. But you won't see me running for a CO alarm. And anyone who does is probably either new or doesn't see any fire.

"C'mon guys!! we gotta get out of the station as fast as possible so we can fly to the house to tell the home owner to get new batteries for her alarm!!!" Please

My company rolls 1 truck for CO and if everyone is out of the house we roll at reduced speed. Is rolling with lights and sirens worth the risk to just go open windows? No

  • And if there is people in there ?

In my country all 911 calls are taken seriously.. funny how i saw comments from US firefighter about european voll. beeing slow on responds.. our fulltime firefighters are out the garage within 1 min after the call... on ALL 911 calls...

  • No offense but this is way too slow of a response.

  • our volunteer dept rolls out in less than prolly 2 minutes thats including them driving to the fire house

  • yea i sure. ur so big on youtube. my dept rolls in 30 secs and we need to drive to the firehouse too...hahaha see how easy it is to say that.

  • WTF i am on a big city dept and we don't get in a big hurry on BS runs but shit we get out faster than this. And guys tryin to look at the FDNY is not cool. Be proud of your dept volly or paid. Do your own thing.

  • slow as hell our fire dept which is PBCFR responds quick not 2 minutes

  • yeah my station we got atleast one peice out in under a minute

  • almost 2 min. are u kidding me at my station its 30 sec. and the rig is gone and thats for any call.

  • Guys c'mon , They're SUPPOSED to have their gear on in 60 seconds not 60 minutes.

  • They were at the station already? Wtf? This is about how long it takes for my company to respond, and we're all vollies whorespond from our homes! Pathetic

  • wtf move quicker u queers. excs me.

  • Their trying to hard to look like FDNY...

Give me a fucking break! Get your gear on and get to the call you bunch of fat fucks!

  • No offense, but our towns volunteer fire dept moves 20 times faster than that, it takes them about a minute to get their gear on, hop in the trucks, and leave. They seemed in no hurry.

  • @MuncieProductions

Go search fdny videos and come back here and tell me how long it takes them to answer a call and get out of the house. very few of them are out in under a minute. Theres nothing wrong with taking 1 minute to leave the house for a carbon monoxide alarm, no need to go tear assing down the street and risk an accident for something as small as a CO alarm

  • @MuncieProductions ya they are really in a hurry, im a volunteer fire fighter and all our guys race into town and rush into the trucks and they are gone...we have 4 trucks and if your not the first 10 there, your going have to drive your own truck

  • @MuncieProductions eh well its not really that urgent of a call though so i can see why they took their sweet time to respond see if it was a structure fire call, they would respond code and haul ass to get there

  • @MuncieProductions no kiddin man im way outa shape an i could move 15 times faster than any of these guys getting ready

  • @MuncieProductions I know you made this comment a year ago but it's a CO alarm activation. No reason to go blasting out of the station for a CO alarm in the daytime.

  • I see alot of comments made about lightening up on these "poor" fellas. You could atleast hustle your ass a little while your taxpayers are watching you doddle and drag you feet and then fly out the door code 3. I don't care if is 60 seconds out the door, it felt like an eternity. Horrible display!!! Yeah and where are the seatbelts???

  • Their response time wasn't too slow, I have seen a lot worse, by the way, what state is it in?

  • Bergenfeld NJ

  • you guys go full response for a co call? We only do that if there where symptoms. othere then that is it with traffice.

as far as response time, i think we all slow down after awhile, especially if it is a bs call. we are ALL guilty of it.

    Nice rescue though.

  • you said you only do that if there is symptoms, how do you know if there was symptoms here or not. we roll an automatic 2nd rig if we roll up on a no symptoms and find symptoms, or if the PPM is over 100.

  • Yeah trust me it is a bad procedure. basically we trust the caller to tell us if there are symptoms. Feeling sick, lightheaded etc. if they feel sick we bumb it up to a full response. if they do not feel ill. one engine response with traffic is all they get.. now if we get there and it is something then we call for additional units.

  • i would hate to live in that city by the time they get to miihouse on fire i alrady put it out with a fireextinguisher

  • The response time was just fine. Out the door in 90 sec. Thats a fairly normal standard around the country. What is not real cool is the lack of seatbelt use. How many LOD reports have to be published before we start wearing them. This video is a good learning tool.

  • i belive this was a open house and they were still in service and they had a call

  • they prolly weerent really respponding just doing something for the public there is a ton of people there

  • Afa's should be treated like any other fire call, responed quickly and safely as possible.saying that a Afa is minor is not good enough.

  • In our county an afa is a code 2 responce your not allowed to use sirens

  • this is the slowest reponse time I have ever seen. What's worse is the condition y'all are in. If any fire guys in my home state did that, say hello to fire chief. I'm gonna be one of them soon but i'm in much better shape, so I don't like to waste time like that

  • wtf?!?! SLOWEST RESPONSE EVER!!! (THOSE POOR FOLKS PROBABLY ALREADY LOST THEIR HOMES) AND WHO WAS THAT JACKASS OF A KID STANDING IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING FIRE TRUCK? WHAT A DUSCH...

  • wow they were slow and plus there was a ton of people watching

  • @ mechtechfireguy: How can you dare and insult firefighters who are here to save your poor life 24/7 in such a disgusting way? I guess you are not working (prof. or vol.) in the emergency services. Not their physical condition is sick, YOUR mental condition is sick! Go and see a shrink! The only one who is a poor bastard is YOU! Think b4 writing!!!

I'd prefer to have these "fat" firemen on scene than a stupid asshole like you!

You should pay emergency workers respect instead of insulting them!

  • @mastergunnyUSMC

the fat ones tend to be captains or chiefs who rarely do physical work but instead command the "fire ground"

  • I can tell you one thing a fat ass fireman can be saving your dumbass some day and i dont give a shit who you are there are bigs guys out there that will do more than some people that are fit.

  • Its only a CO alarm, our department wont even run with lights only unless someone is still inside

  • We have had a call that was a CO alarm. We get there and find that there is smoke in the building. You never know what it is until you get there.

  • Your comment makes no sense. Should we run lights and sirens to assist up calls? Or trouble alarms, with occupants calling in no smoke/fire? We should never be running code to CO2 calls, unless there are injured/ill parties.

  • amen. Bunch of wackers complaining about the slow response. And they are out the door in under 2 min. Last I checked that meets the national standards.

  • too slow

  • in 45 seconds?...even with the SCBA?

  • Horrable, Seen alot of responses in my day...I would never post this for anyone to see. I would erase this so nobody could ever bear wittness to the worlds slowest firemen.

  • I have to agree, it was 00.29 before first truck started and 01.09 before the first truck rolled out of the station! Very poor response time in my opinion

  • The call came in while the members were participating in a antique truck pull. If they were responding from their homes they would not have been in service in 1:29. Before you make stupid comments know what you are talking about.

  • GREAT RESPONSE

YOU GUYS RELATED TO ARANSAS PASS? THAT DONT RESPOND FOR THE FIRST 10 MINUTEs?

  • i mean you dont want to be like sprinting around the station for a call cause you might get hurt and if that happens then your not helping any one instead your pobably making it worse but this is just sooo slow the guys were standing if front of the truck for like alomost a minutes before he took a seat and whats up with all the other fire trucks there

  • I see they also don't have a seatbelt policy. It also took longer than 1:40. That's just what is on tape.

  • yall have got some fattys at that station

  • Yes very slow response. I also agree with firechief56, if anyone of our members did that, our chief would have our hide. We are told right from day one, when you get to the hall you run because like the truck will leave with or without you, regardless if your on shift. This is retarded!!!!!

  • talk about a slow response... guys at my station run getting things ready no matter what the priority or type of call is, that's ridiculous.

  • why such a big response for co

  • Im with firechief56, everyone of those would have been left behind at my house. How much slower can you move, seriously?

  • wheres your Q,or you dont have one?

  • Interesting comments here about speed... Every fire department does things their own way and who am I to suggest they are wrong? With that said... If you aren't going to hustle in quarters -- which is as close to a controlled environment as we get -- why on earth are you going to run hot on the streets -- where we have no idea what to expect?

  • faster u hussle the faster u get to scene helping..simple..slow yankees

  • His point is if you're going to wander around the station like nothing's going on, why race through the streets lights and sirens. Can't make up time enroute that you lost dragging ass out of the station.

That said, I don't think a CO alarm should warrant a 2-vehicle emergency response anyway. I'm sure that heavy rescue has all the meters they'll need, don't see the point with the engine. And if there's no symptoms, NOBODY should be responding emergency.

  • on ur second part you are right and wrong theres 3 companys in bergenfield idk if they all rolled or not but they should have an engine company on scene just in case the stuff hits the fan

  • Ok, I'll bite. What "stuff?" CO's not explosive. Looked like they were riding with a good-sized crew on the rescue. That plus EMS should be able to take care of just about anything.

Part of promoting response safety is reducing unnecessary emergency vehicles on the road.

  • Exactly my point, our station rolls from when the pagers go off, respond to the station, gear up, get the truck ready and roll out the door on 4-5minutes, the better the response procedure the better your on scene time will be, as to the dudes standing around they should be in the truck and awaiting the driver and captain, the faster the out of station time, the less faster you have to drive to get on scene, insteed of driving like a F**kin Clown

  • 4-5 minutes your station is crazy i could put out a fire or control a scene before you guys left the house

  • They were in quarters and they were responding to a CO alarm. The CO alarm willtill be ringing when they arrive.

  • they are very slow i think :|

  • at :18 what was that dude doing? Gettin ready to scale a mountain...

  • No, He wanted to see how long it took to scale the side of the station LOL

  • thats all of a firefighter's Gear..

  • Man you guys are pretty slow compared to my volunteer fire department.

  • My department runs two engines and a truck co. to all co activations
