Anyone who thinks Charice doesnt sound unique is tone deaf, theres just no one on this earth who can sing clearer and louder notes (high or low) than Charice, theres just hasnt been anyone like her on her level, she is on a platform all buy herself, even Whitney in her prime wouldnt match up to on her as a live performer. @hermiemel All her songs have become more emotional since her dad's death. I really hope she seeks some kind of counseling to get through such a tragedy. Her recent CNN interview (taken before his death) shows that she still had a deep love for her dad but was still confused about it. A normal death is hard enough but a murder just X things by a 1000 - especially in view of the fact that she had plans to visit her dad prior to his death. She is not seen on twitter, FB etc. I hope she is ok.

This is why she sings his songs like the original artists. Now, that she will be doing her own thing it will not be the same. Point in fact, her rendition of Grown Up Christmas List (which she did in PI) was a different arrangement. It was more emotional & had higher notes. She took a different angle on the song.

As DF said, to be able to find a singer to give justice to his songs is nearly impossible. Charice, did the impossible for 3 yrs.As for ur comment that she is always following Whitney, Celine or Mariah's voice - not true.Celine is nasal, Whitney less melodic & Mariah all about the whistle. Charice's voice is extremely melodic & has its own unique sound.

@erica02jireh In my opinion that version pales to this one by a mile. That PI version lacked feelings and emotions. Her high notes (while nice) seem to lack the required texture for the song. Don't get me wrong it is nice but (for me) this DF version is way better.

@vlsmash16 It is called overuse of vocals & being tired - LOL. FYI One does not lose their voice overnight except in the context of a medical reason so don't worry. As long as she stays away from alcohol, drugs & gets plenty of rest and exercises she will be fine. The fact that her PA is a trained vocal coach and is into physical fitness, Charice is in great hands.

This Vegas concert proved her voice is back and then some and it will only get better from here.

As for the high notes, if you are making reference to that performance she sang as a kid, well that pales in comparison to this by a mile. This song is suppose to be jam packed w/ emotions & the latter cannot be achieved singing the same version she did in PI. Most of the western complaints on her PI version was that it lacked feelings. No big surprise.

Charice's vocals are maturing nicely and her range is getting better and better.
