I just bought an area 51, and im sooo fucking excited. Quick question though, do u know if the keyboard lights are default blue or if they'll come red like my computer will. And does ur ownership card say ur name on it?

I just recently built my own, and I knew if i got the same thing from Alienware it would has cost $1000 more. I paid $4500 for my comp:

Intel QX9650 Overlocked to 3.8GHz

Corsair 4GB XMS3 DDR3 Overlocked to 1600MHz

Asus P5E3 Deluxe wifi

EVGA Gefore 8800 Ultra Superclocked

SB X-FI Fata1ity platnium

4x WD Raptor X 10K RPM/ 150GB/ raid 0

Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W

and Silverstone TJ07 case.

I know I would have paid around $5500 for Alienware ALX Crossfire, but still I like Alienware.

I would have gotten different hard drives. I think that a 2nd video card would have done more then a 10,000 RPM hard disk. Several newer drives are actually almost as fast as the Raptors but with more capacity and less cost. Also DDR3 is of dubious benifit 1333MHz DDR2 would do just as well. Also you don't need a $1000 CPU to get a 3.8GHz overclock, I've done almost that 3.7GHz with my $300 Q6600 on water. Nice case, PSU, soundcard but I would have liked 3 8800 Ultras (with tri-sli)

i love the cases, and actually with the hardware thats in them, they arent too bad on price. but you can probably get the same stuff cheaper by buying individually. But I've put 600-700 dollars in my rig and i can play Crysis very well, which is why i dont like the $3000-4000 dollar price tag on AlienWare... but then there is the whole "ITS A FREAKIN ALIENWARE" thing you mentioned

Alienware uses Asus motherboards, in cause u didnt know Asus is like the best motherboard company around. I know cuz my friends Alienware has the same Asus motherboard in it that i just bought from newegg to build my custom pc. Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe. look up reviews for that board.
