hey man thaks for the vid. I wanted to ask you, if you miss some step in reasembling the gun will it not fire? I just need this one (KWA 1911 MKII PTP) for a prop in a movie and Im gana buy it off ebay but the guy says it needs to be reasembled right again becuase he reasembled it wrong or somthing. I just need it for blowing back as a prop.

@tolietman221 I've read on a bunch of sites that you should only use the KWA mags for this. Not sure why but I'm gonna stick to them just to be safe.

I may not be correct, but I believe that the orange tip is for shipping purposes. The ATF doesn't want any foreign guns or cheap, easily modifiable mock guns that could be transformed into a real gun. And, as far as I know, it is legal to replace, paint, or cover the orange tip after it is in the states. However, as a disclaimer, I have not done in depth research and what I have said may or may not be true and may vary between states.

You can buy spare outer barrel from KWA USA, but I don;t if they ship out with orange tips or not.

can you legally shorten (NOT REMOVE) the orange tip on an airsoft gun? If so, by how much?

@sp121988 I believe the law is that the orange tip must be 6mm in length, which is ironically the same as the diameter of an airsoft BB LOL. So just put an airsoft BB next to your orange tip and shorten it to that length and that's as far as is legal for it to still count. However, what I do which is still legal is just remove the orange tip and slap on a temporary one for transportation. The law says the orange tip is required for sale and transportation, but nothing else.

@hydralovr strangely it was increased but I just took the mag apart and it was a brass tube but I fixed it

Hey i just got this gun the other day and i decided to shoot it a couple of times, this being my first gun i noticed that i was getting only about 6-8 shots before all the gas was out and the mag size is 14 rounds.

Also should i clean out the gun before i use it?

How do i know the mag is full, I charge it but it doesnt seem to be doing anything. Is there an indication of when the mag is full?

I got mine on jul 8 and is the best gun I've ever got it shoots very hard the only I thing I don't like is the plastic outer barrel.

@santoroyerdeantorcha  It's polymer because if it was metal, it would wear faster. so they put the polymer outer barrel there to reduce wear and tear and potentially save you muniez.
