Great tutorial, but there is a much simpler way to take locked exposure/focus panoramas. On the back of the LX3 there is a button labeled LOCK AF/AE. Press this before you shoot your panorama and it will lock the focus and exposure. Press it when you are done and it will unlock.
@BarleyBenton You're absolutely right, but I believe you first have to go into the menu and set the AF/AE Lock Hold to "On". Otherwise it will only hold the AF/AE Lock for one picture. Correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, thanks for the tip.
