In the story a young boy is locked in a coat closet on Halloween and he sees a little grils ghost while he is locked in there. He also witnesses her murder at the hands of a killer and a child molester. And now he wants to help her by finding out who her killer was to set her spirit free.

I was an extra in this movie in two different scenes. The rare trailer was used to get investors in New Sky Productions to help fund the movie and get the company off of the ground. It was a blast and Lukas Haas and Alex Rocco were great to meet in person. They were so unlike the Hollywood people you see. They were both down to earth and always willing to sign autographs or have their picture taken. The movie SLUGS was made at the same time in the same town-Lyons, New York. Luv this movie!

Why are all the actors different? Was this the same movie made before the one that I saw as a kid? I mean it's disturbing, the sets, the dialogue...it's all pretty much the same...just the actors are not?! What is this???

Where did you get this from? Was it a tool used to promote the movie to studio execs by Frank LaLoggia? I know he raised his own money and started New Sky Productions, which in turn ended up with another name. I had his e-mail address and lost it. We last spoke regarding the fact that he was trying to raise money to get The Giant off the ground, under Bellacasa Productions. Wondering how this is going???

This movie made me smile. In the opening scene they go to the cemetary. That cemetary is about 5 mins from my house :-p. My major beef with the movie, how they made it look like they were near the ocean or a great lake.

You're telling me that they hired an entire cast of characters, paid for costumes, location...all that...made a short version. Then fired all the actors and recast all of them, paid for everything the second time around and made the full movie?! Is Hollywood really that nuts?

To clear this up.. this was a prefilming trailer.. basically something they would have used to show to potential backers or the like.. they have to prove that it would be an interesting film.. they did use different actors for some of the parts..(If you look online you can find the same thing for the series Charmed and Buffy the Vampire slayer.. the original pilot was played by several actors who never appear in the actual show because the cast hadn't been finalized)..

I wonder why this prefilming trailer wasn't included on the DVD? By the way, thank god this was redone because this is nowhere near as good as the finished film!!!

this film used to freak me out sooo much wen i was a kid. im not scared now but because of watching this film i still have to sleep wov covers over my head in order 2 sleep. But i do know what u lot mean i somewhat remeber the boy being played by someone else and the music for this trailer sort of kills the scaryness of it still wicked thou

I don't understand... the version I saw (from '88) had Lukas Haas playing Frankie Scarlatti (as well as some other obvious actor swapouts; Catherine Helmond, however, still plays Lady in White in both)... and the name of the town is "Willowpoint Falls" in the '88 version, unlike the name "Holloeye" or whatever it is called in this trailer.

Any information on why I have seen-- and adored-- a bit of a different film by the same director?
