These guys are so amazing. partially because look at the guys body type. When i saw the 132lb kb press tittle with 53 reps i expected to see some hulking dude pressing that much weight and reps. This guy has the oddest super strength. He is Amazing. What does he weigh?? like 175??
bullsh-t, when I tried that booth at the arnold classic. The fkrs running it wouldn't allow me to rest it as he is doing after every freaking rep. Guess you gotta be in their little "click". fck kettlebells try strongman fkrs... JPW.
You know what's amazing. Kettlebells may get you fit but this is a perfect example of how you can be an expert at tossing them around and yet still have the build of a professional bowler!!!
I stood right infront of him as he did this at the Arnolds. I did it moments before he did, I'm 18, 6'4", and 310 pounds and managed to do this once, its amazing how he knows how to use his body, he is the God of Kettlebell lifting in the entire World!!
well now that you say that there really isnt a special way to hold it whatever you are comfortable with....but this is Valery Fedorenko he is kettelbell God in America and all the world
ya, i ve been trainging with kb's for over a year now and i saw him holding it like that and my reaction was like "omg! what is that? whay havent i seen that before?"
ya, i tried this out after watching the vid and i soon realized that it is a relaxed grip, and not forced under as it appears. this makes the move feel even more natural. especially in lockout. it may be a coincidence, but holding it this way i was able to hit 10 strict presses at 40kg, a new personal best!
Amazing....132#! For those who are not familiar with the Sport of Kettlebell lifting....imagine just standing there and holding 132# for 8 minutes...just bear the burden of the weight for 7 minutes...try 100# for just 6 minutes, standing there and just HOLDING it
Go to you closest gym and pick up a 45 pound plate and hold it in both arms across your chest and see how long your strength and core can beat the weight. You, too, will be amazed with what Valery has achieved!

that sounds a bit odd, because in timed sets you can rest all you like. of course "rest" with a 60kg kettlebell is still challenging

So awesome, and he makes it look easy. Few could do the same with 90-100 pounds, much less that 132 pound ogre.
So well done, Valery. Inspiring!

Amazing Valery!
Will some of this protocol be discussed at the NYC Certification in June? I sure hope so!

Valery,
Unbelievable display of technique, strength, power and endurance!
You are simply the standard by which Kettlebell Sport Lifting excellence is measured!
Thanks for all you've done for the sport of kettlebell lifting and for putting on such an amazing event at the Arnold.
