My old job, we used sanitare with the Ezee clean type bags, well shake out style with a dump cup, one of our local stores sells the impellers, bearings, I tihnk that O-ring, is like the kirby's spacer washer on its impeller
can you replace the bottom berangs on an old 5.0 amp sanitaire motor if so post a video when you have the chance. ps sorry for spelling im onley a kid thankyou
I'm doing the same thing. Fixing vacs and I have to run one of these Sanitaire wide models at one of our accounts.
I would add that sometimes the nut won't be tight enough on the fan to allow just holding it still and using a wrench. In this case, I use an impact with a 3/4" socket (if I remember right).
Another fun tip. Keep original brushrolls. Change bearings, brushes, caps, but NEVER replace it with an aftermarket roller. They are made from really thin metal and I had one break in half.
That's one diiiiiiirty motor!!! How the heck did they get dirt inside the hood??? :S
I replaced the fan on my Sanitaire (UK model ZC-880) not long after I got it (bought a metal fan cos I like them), it's so simple, and as it has the Quick-Kleen chamber so I didn't need to remove the motor, 5 minute job, and that was my first try, could probably do it in less... :)
And Euroclean??? Electrolux has some funny ideas about naming an american product to look like it came from Europe... :P
@twocvbloke the dirt under the hood is from the motor brushes and dust coming out of that shake out bag eeew
i do not recomend washing shake out bags just replace it or better yet just get paper bags compared to the cost over time there better i think sanire and euroclean use the same bag :-)
Finding anything parts-wise for these vacs is nigh-on impossible with Electrolux, they seem to deny all knowledge of them aside from the F&G bags (sold as type E74), it's like it never existed... :S
I've got three models now, the ZC-880, and S663 and an Electrolux C12, the 880 uses F&G, the S663 uses ST, and the C12 is currently shakeout, but I have a brand new red Sanitaire ST bag assembly waiting to be shipped over here from the states... :)

hello do you think i can make an electric go kart out of this ? Please respond
daymoney13 1 year ago
um any thing is possible but this motor is to small and i dont think it would work
you may want some kind of brush less motor and heavy duty mabe a pool pump motor would work

that's very interesting.
I would have never though that a vacuum motor could get soo cruddy like that.
